Facilities within the Property

"L'Orangerie d' Epoque" was born after an extensive refurbishment that has carefully maintained the original features of the apartment such as vaulted ceilings and frescoes. It is a secluded, precious gem surrounded by secular palms, orange trees and Mediterranean vegetation.

Completely independent and silent, deep in a luxuriant orange-grove (typical internal garden of ancient dwellings), the B&B offers its guests a piece of heaven for a relaxing stay in South Italy.
The garden is a nice shaded area where our guests are invited to enjoy relaxing moments after a day of sightseeing sitting on sun decks or lazy swinging on a hammock.

At sunset the atmosphere is quite magical! Spring and summer are the best seasons to enjoy a stay at "Orangerie d'Epoque": the oranges' scent blend with that of roses in bloom offering a unique fragrance. The apartment is equipped for self-service breakfast and guests have the possibility of preparing their own meal from supplied basic ingredients.

Moreover they will find every morning in front of the apartment's door a basket of hame-made cakes. This is a present offered by the owners..this is a way to pamper their guests and to make them taste the flavours of this enchanting land! Additional facilities include air conditioning, TV (Italian channels only), daily change of linens and towels and daily cleaning.

The city of Lecce
The city of Lecce is unique for the splendour and elegance of its own style of Baroque architecture. Visitors will be enchanted by the play of light on form, by the amazing abundance of expressive sculpture adorning the church facades, beautiful palaces, courtyards and monuments. All this is made only possible because of the flexibility, maleability and warm colour of the local soft limestone. This city continues to surprise as one journeys through evidence from past civilizations: the Messapics, the Roman domination, then the Normans followed by the Swabians, Angioini, Brienne and Aragonesi. During the fifteenth century, under the influence of the cultured Maria d'Enghein, Lecce became finally politically and economically well organized and had its own Civil Code of conduct. Next came the building of the imposing, defensive castle at the wish of Charles V, thus heralding two centuries of prolific building and progress for the city under the protection of Spanish domination.
