 In front of the villa a beautifully shaped Italian garden spreads out, with its exquisite geometry of hedges of antique roses. On the corners, geraniums stream out of large Tuscan terracotta vases. The garden is laid out on several levels, opening, suddenly, a vast veranda where a tent of climbing roses shelters a few tables set for tea. In the garden there is a splendid curvilinear heated swimming pool with hydro massage and mosaic floor. |
 By the entrance hall, on the right, there is a small American bar. In the elegant drawing rooms inviting armchairs and sofas, positioned around the fireplace. In the antique bookcase there is a selection of books for the guests' use. The restaurant "Le Sibille", which is also open to non-staying guests, offers authentic specialities of the local cuisine. |

 Cittą della Pieve is situated on a hill, 500 meters above the sea level, in an advantageous position over Valdichiana and the Trasimeno Lake, on the border of Umbria and Tuscany, and is full of cultural, and folklore history. This is the area incredibly rich in gastronomic traditions, boasting excellent traditional local food, wine, oil, honey and the famous saffron produced locally since the Renaissance times. Amongst the well-known sweets is Baci Perugina (one of the factories of Nestle-Perugina, just a few kilometres from the hotel). There are also a lot of local biological farms. Two other major tourist attractions are cashmere factories Brunello Cucinelli and Max Cashmere, where one can buy items of highest quality at a very good price. Umbrian ceramic workshops are also internationally recognised and appreciated. |
