If you don't mind the drive up to the top of the mountain it is a good place to stay, staff were very friendly and very helpfull breakfast was good, dinner in the restaurant was excellent not cheep but great food, would recommend to anyone. If we were to come back would stay here again. Once we parked the car did not need it again until the day we left. Close to the funicular station, which we used to go back and forward to Lake Como

The way from the autostrada to the hotel is almost an adventure with all the tornantis - with a big car it is a little bit scary. Difficult was it to find the way from the autostrada, at last we just drove to the cathedral of COmo and saw then a sign to Brunate.

Unfortunately we had a rainy weather, so we couldn't see the Lake Como. But it was a wonderful place with a very good restaurant.

If you manage to drive to Brunate, what's really a little bit difficult, it is a wonderful place to stay especially when the weather is clear and you can look over the Lake Como.

Brilliant Place,this is why this was the second time we stayed. An excellent place if you like to get away and enjoy seeing and learning about Italian culture and not doing 'normal touristy' things.

Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere also when dining with our children (3 and 4 years of age), clean hotel.
We had a very pleasant stay on our way to Toscany.

Everything was great except the water only stays hot for about two minutes and then you are left to take an ice-cold shower, as well as the next person in the shower.

EXTREMELY noisy at all hours.

This hotel is located on the apex of a triangular piece of property, thus it sits directly between 2 streets, one of which happens to be quite steep. It has a bar and restaurant on street level. It seems to be the local meeting place for the people of Brunate. Therefore, it is noisy from early morning into the wee hours of the night, with people shouting their greetings and cars changing gears as they either climb the hill or descend.

Personally, I loved staying there because of all the action and the friendliness of the staff and would go back. I was able to sleep through the EXTREME noise. The included continental breakfast was declicious. The rest of my family complained (loudly :-) ) of the noise.

As there were 4 members in our party we had two rooms. We were rather disappointed to find one room offered was very large and the other rather small. After mentioning this to the staff, they very kindly altered the small room for another large one.

We found the staff extremely helpful particularly in the restaurant with translation of menus etc. Also we found the food excellent.

Rather scary drive up to the hotel but once there beautiful views over Como and pretty village. The fernicular railway excellent (and essential). Very pleased we did not choose a hotel in Como itself.
