We had asked for rooms on the second floor or above but where placed on the 1st Floor. However the Hotal promised to move us within 48 hours which they did ... I was unforuntate enough to be taken ill and had to go to Hospital in Ostuni. the Hotel staff were so helpful to my wife and I and did everything they could to help us. We were very very grateful and would like you to pass on our deepest thanks ... The friendliness of the Staff and the fact that they are mostly long standing. We had visted theis hotel four years ago and many of the staff were still there. The area around the hotel is intersting and pretty and there is a lot to do and see
... Excellent for a relaxing holiday with ideal facilities for both families with and without children. Good food and a superb staff.

we have stayed at this Hotel several times in the past and rate it very highly. On Sat evening they always run a welcome reception ! ... see above- this is an excellent family hotel where the large clean pool sits adjacent to a fine sandy beach with safe swimming for all ages. of particular note are the additional facilities of a childrens entertainer and permanent lifeguards on duty. Many Italians come here for the 'Spa' like quality of the sea ... easy and seamless ( better if you speak a little Italian as courtesy begets courtesy ) ... please see my review about the pools above. We unreservedly reccomend this hotel. Perhaps the weakest point would be the lack of choice thro'the week for evening dinner. the local wines are abundent and cheap and to be reccomended.
... Good family hotel well sited for many tourist attractions. Excellent large pool and good sea bathing from a fine, safe beach with lifeguards in attendance. pedaloes and other water sports available. Some English is spoken but better service in all the areas around if you make the effort to speak some Italian. Local food ( particularly fish) and wines are excellent. It is important to note that the best rooms are those with a balcony and this is well worth the small extra cost with fine views accross the bay.

The only small complaint I had was that during the aerobics exercise in the hotel pool, the music was too loud and disruptive for those not taking part. While I praise these activities, please also think of those not taking part, and who just wish for peace to relax. Having said this, I cannot praise the hotel enough for the meal they prepared outside for the Festival on Friday 13th of August. The staff worked very hard to prepare excellent food, a beautiful setting and terrific service all night. It was a memorable night indeed! ... I was pleased with the efforts that the hotel has made to make help disabled guests with wheelchairs. I was also very pleased and impressed with the way that the staff make special efforts to help those guests, and also to look after the children guests.

ALL VERY STRAIGHT-FORWARD ... THE ROOM WERE RATHER SMALL (FOR A 4* HOTEL) AND HAD NO BALCONY (THE WEB-SITE SUGGESTS ALL ROOMS HAVE BALCONIES). TEA/COFFER MAKING FACILITIES IN THE ROOM WOULD BE A WELCOME ADDITION.S ... TEH HOTEL WAS VERY HELPFUL WITH THE SPECIAL DIET (GLUTEN FREE) REQUIRED BY ONE OF OUR PARTY. ... QUIET, CALM AND FRIENDLY WITH AN EXCELLENT LOCATION JOINING A SANDY BEACH.

They kept the kitchens open for an additional 40 minutes on our arrival so we could have lunch. We were the only ones in the dining room! They were kind and generous like this throughout our stay. ... Cleaner and better-maintained than a website can convey ... Lovely hotel. Go when it's hot - April is too early in the year!

We arrived very late (around 1.30 am). However, we were not given any information regarding meal times etc, it was assumed these were in the room - but were not. On the first morning we were late for breakfast, but staff were very helpful and obliging. ... The room was clean and had 'garden view' as stated in description. However, garden view overlooked car park. Room was very small in comparison to other 4* hotels and window in bedroom was tiny which made room feel claustrophobic. I requested a room change - preferably one with a balacony and sea view - and advised that I was happy to pay the addtional cost. We managed to get room change for last 4 days. Room was still small, but had a wonderful view of the sea and bay and of course a balcony. Brochure does suggest more facilities available at hotel in the way of relaxation therapies etc. These can be booked from reception, but nothing is clearly displayed. Also it was suggested that some cookery lessons were available, but again staff did not seem to be aware of this. However, overall stay was excellent, staff were super and we would return to the hotel again. ... Check out was fine, we asked for late check out and this was arranged for us at no extra cost. ... Very friendly hotel, reasonable value for money. Beautiful location and good for a 'get away' and relaxed holiday. Excellent location for travelling around the area.

Good for families, but not ideal for couples seeking a quiet beach-side break. The evening entertainment takes place directly outside the hotel, so in certain rooms, if you want an early night, forget it. Even so, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. ... The hotel was in a super location, with lovely grounds that lead to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy with good quality air conditioning.

we would have liked the option of just having a snack in the evening rather than a full meal although the food was very good in the restaurant sometimes if you had a late lunch you just want a light bite in the eveving and the snack bar closed around 7pm. Also it would have been really nice to have tea & coffee making facilities in the room. ... It did take a long time to check out but I am not sure why, it was not busy, the gentleman who served us did apologise though, perhaps it was a computer problem. ... You should emphasise the private beach more. The beach at Torre Canne got so crowded it was a delight to have as much space as we wanted on the hotel's beach. ... Superb

Everything was done very efficiently. ... Not all facilities were available - mainly because the hotel seemed to be waking up after the winter and waiting for better weather. It was too cold and windy to eat outside so this facility was not available. We understood why, but wished we had looked up the translation of 'Levante' which means 'East wind'! This is probably a plus in the height of the summer, but for us it was a terrible disappointment. The hotel seems to be used extensively by German and Italian bus tour companies, who do everything 'en masse' and leave the hotel like a ghost town during the day. I might have been more amenable to this had the weather been better. -Everything seems better in the sunshine. ... All fine. Very efficient. ... I think you should mention the wind, - even the hotel name suggests it is pretty constant. Disabled access seems to be a big issue in Italy, and this hotel is very well adapted for anyone in a wheel chair. The children's play area was a bit of a wreck. The hotel is quite a bit outside the town, no bother for us as we hired a car, but could be an issue for non-drivers. There is good security in the hotel car park with someone on duty at the entrance, which is a plus, and they are friendly too! The food was barely all right, but in an area of Italy with fantastic agritourism, it could have been much better. I'm not sure it rated its 4stars. There are thermal baths at Torre Canne but they are closed at certain times of the year. We were unable to visit them, and were told it would be another month before they would be open. Disappointing! Surely thermal pools are warm all year round? ... For me it really did appear a bit like a saga holiday and I'm not ready for that. Having called at Masseria Torre Coccara for coffee and a look around I would readily pay the extra for a little more class and pampering. I would only recommend this hotel to someone who likes cooling breezes in July or August. The area is interesting and is probably about to take off tourist -wise. The trulli houses are gorgeous and unique in my experience, but I also love Italian fashion and style and was frustrated at being unable to find it. If you wanted to use this hotel as a base I would suggest B&B only so that you could take advantage of interesting eating places in the region, though the breakfasts are pretty basic too.

Not quite as well kept as the description might lead to believe, but not a point of concern. ... The hotel pool/beach area do get quite crowded at times. Useful to know that beach towels are not provided ... Pleasant, very child-friendly. Food OK but not spectacular. Lively - plenty of activities for adults and children. Not suitable for those looking for a quieter family holiday.

We thought the hotel was beautiful but nothing was available at the hotel except breakfast. We were told or found any vending machines for food or even guided by the staff on places that were open for dinner. Once we checked in we were on our own. We understand that it was 'Off' season but it would have been nice if there was something available listing helpful tips on how to get around during this season. ... The hotel was beautiful and I would love to go back during the 'Open' season. ... All we did at the hotel was sleep and eat breakfast. The hot water took 30 minutes to come on and the TV channels were not very clear. The 'Game' tables were not available for use. ... Two guides 'Open' season and 'Off' season ... Somewhere to go when they are fully functional.

This hotel is not 4 star. Reception staff very unhelpful on arrival. Very little english speaking. ... Our room was standard with a nice balcony and view. The Bthroom seriously needs a renovation airplane toilets would be more modern. We had to move room due to the noise leve in the hotel, paper thin walls and a dog on our floor (2nd Floor) barking all the time. We eventually got moved to the 5th floor..to have Germans next door constantly making noise and up at 6.30 every morning. I need another hoiday to catch up on lost sleep. We did try to check out early and due to your voucher stating that a no show is 100% paid regardless. However in every other counrty a no show is a non arrival not checking out early and having to pay 100% you could amend your notes to say this. ... We were leaving early to drive back to Naples for our flight and reception check out delayed us getting attention from someone firstly and then waiting for them to print out our bill. This should be done in advance as they are aware of who is checking out on what day. ... Torre Canne is a very non tourist area. Hotel entertainment goes on till 11.30 most nights and during the day the activites by the pool are very annoying when you are on a realxing holiday. On the beach area locals are allowed use the facilites of the hotel on the beach for a small private fee one day I saw them paying over €10. Very annoying when we are all paying top rates to use the facilites of the hotel only decent thing was the access to the beah and the pool when quiet. ... I would not recommed this hotel to anyone if anything stay away.

Beautiful pool and beach area... ... The shower was not very good and there needs to be better storage or shelving in the bathroom. ... Great walk from hotel to town along beach...
In restaurant, Marcello was very accommodating and there was good separation of large tour groups from individual travelers...
