| | |  B&B Le Mimose is located in a valley developed around a small creek that flows close to our property. This is where Spring flowers grow wild, and in season they are a real show. After us the valley closes up to very high mountain reaching a top ridge approximately 1350 meter high. The area is mainly cultivated with date palm trees, white spanish broom shrubs and mimosa trees, some olive trees as the lard gets higher. Approximately 800 m away from our home there is the small village of Latte, where you can find all utilities and facilities, such as supermarket, bank and post office. |

By train:
From Italy - Ventimiglia railway station (5 km). From there you can take a taxi or rent a car. By car, turn on your right at the traffic light, follow the national road up to the roundabout. Take the bridge direction and cross it, next follow the direction France. You will reach another traffic light, follow straight, enter the tunnel, and as you get out follow the national road until when you see in front of you the CONAD supermarket. Turn right in the small road, Via della Resistenza, and follow it approx. 1/2 mile until when you see our post with our name on our mail box. From France - Mentone railway station ( 5 km). there you can take a taxi or rent a car. By car, leaving the station at your shoulders, turn right and drive down to the sea promenade drive. Turn left taking this promenade, and continue it along the sea coast following the sign "Italie" until when you see on your left the CONAD supermarket. Turn left in the small road, Via della Resistenza, and follow it approx. 1/2 mile until when you see our post with our name on our mail box.
By car:
- From Italy - motorway A10 Genova - Ventimiglia, Ventimiglia exit (5 km). Get out of the "VENTIMIGLIA" highway toll station. At that moment please stop a while and please be so kind as to call me on my mobile phone, just to tell me you are there. Then, take the direction "Ventimiglia Centro", following the black arrows on the road marked in red. You will reach a bridge over a small river, cross it. At its end take the "FRANCIA" direction on the right shown by the road sign. After one traffic light, you will enter a long tunnel. As you get out of the tunnel, drive along the coastline national road until you see a supermarket in front of you; you will notice that between the supermarket and a liquor store, a small road opens up, called VIA DELLA RESISTENZA; take it and follow it approximately half a mile, until you see the our sign (LE MIMOSE) and the power post. The access road looks rather wild _ we are in the country _ but it's enough paying a little attention and driving slowly, after some 60 yards you are at our parking lot. If you have previously called me on the phone, I will be there to wait for you and help with the luggage.
- From France - motorway A8 Escota, Mentone exit (France) (7 km); as you get out of the highway, always follow the signs "Mentone Centre" and "Bord de mer"; turn left and proceed for 0.1 miles, turn right and go on for 0.1 miles, turn right onto D2566 and follow if for 0.7 miles,
Turn slight right onto ROUTE DE SOSPEL and proceed for 0.1 miles, turn left, turn right onto D2566. Pass through a roundabout. You are now in the town of Mentone. Reach the seaside Promenade (follow the signs "Bord de mer") and follow it. Always follow the signs "Italie" until when you cross the border. You are now in Italy, along the coastline, until when you see on your left the CONAD supermarket. Turn left in the small road, Via della Resistenza, and follow it approx. 1/2 mile until when you see our post with our name on our mail box.
By Plane:
- From Italy - airport C. Colombo - Genova (150 km). You can take a taxi of rent a car. By car, take Highway A10 (Genova-Ventimiglia) and get out at the Ventimiglia exit. From there follow the above indications listed in By car, from Italy - motorway A10 Genova - Ventimiglia, Ventimiglia exit (5 km).
- From France - airport Cote d'Azur - Nice (40 km). You can take a taxi of rent a car. By car, start outgoing Southwest on ramp towards AUTOROUTE URBAINE SUD, merge onto N7, turn slight right onto ramp, enter next roundabout and take 3rd exit onto D714, turn slight right onto N7, stay straight to go onto ESPLANADE MARÉCHAL DE LATTRE DE TASSIGNY, turn left onto ESPLANADE KENNEDY, which becomes D2204, then it becomes D2204 B, then it becomes D2204, turn slight left onto D2204 B, turn slight right onto ramp, turn right onto SQUARE DE CUNÉO, turn slight left onto D2204, take the ramp towards MONACO/MENTON/GÈNES/PÉAGE, merge onto A8 (Portions toll), take the exit number 59, towards MENTON/SOSPEL; then follow the above indications: by car from France - motorway A8 Escota, Mentone exit (France) (7 km).
By boat:
- From Italy - tourist harbour - Bordighera and Sanremo (Portosole).
You can take a taxi of rent a car. By car, follow the Aurelia national road , direction France, along the coastline until when you reach Ventimiglia. Continue driving the national (main) road until when you reach the large roundabout. Take the bridge direction and cross it, next follow the direction France. You will reach another traffic light, follow straight, enter the tunnel, and as you get out follow the national road until when you see in front of you the CONAD supermarket. Turn right in the small road, Via della Resistenza, and follow it approx. 1/2 mile until when you see our post with our name on our mail box.
