The Residence Hotel La Ville is located in a recently restored historical building, in the city centre of Catania. All most interesting sites to visit in this lovely town are within easy reach: the "Massimo Bellini Theatre", "The Cathedral", "St. Agata Church", the "Monastero dei Benedettini", the "Castello Ursino" and the ancient ruins of antique Catania. "Via Etnea" is the main street and it starts from Piazza Duomo, where you can find the characteristic fish market "La Pescheria". Famous places outside Catania, but easily reachable also by public transport are: the majestic mount Etna, the highest active volcano all over Europe, Caltagirone and its pieces of pottery; Taormina , "the pearl of the Ionian sea"; Siracusa, the capital of ancient Greece, etc. The beaches, both sandy and black rocky, can be reached by bus or on foot. The Hotel is just two minutes far from the main railway station, where alongside is situated the congress centre "Le Ciminiere".
