Our double room was very very nice and clean, also the bathroom was very nice. The only thing that wasn't so good that the hotel apparently has very thin walls. When our room neighbours came home during the night they switched on the TV and we could hear every single bit of it. Also when they used the bathroom, the noise could be heard clearly. However, I think these people were especially loud, too, and quieter guests wouldn't have been heard that much. ... We were surprised that the water was so clear and nice to swim in, much better than in Positano, especially when swimming along the cliff. Also the beach restaurant (we were in the Petite Café (I think?) was excellent, we really didn't expect to get such gorgeous food there. ... Very nice room, very nice bathroom, everything clean, but thin walls. Very nice breakfast terrace. Fast access to the beautiful clear sea.

This is an excellent small hotel with personalized service. We were pleased with its quiet location, lovely views and the quality and convenience of its services. ... You might suggest that the owners invest in cable news and other programming in English, Spanish and French. Many guests like to keep up with things, even while on holiday.
Though it is not strictly the hotel's business how the guests arrive (by car or bus), it might be a good idea for the management to provide a shuttle service to Amalfi and Positano for guests, even charging a small fee(say 2 or three euros per person) because the local bus service sometimes runs irratically. ... Surely. I would highly recommend this delightful little hotel.

Excellent experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing and beautiful stay outside of the popular towns of Amalfi and Positano. ... Beautiful clean rooms. Service was impecable. ... The price was exceptional since it was half price in the month of July. ... Perfect location. Easily accessible by car or bus. Set in a fishing village away from the overrated Positano and Amalfi. Clean beautiful rooms...make sure to take a sea view.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Pearla. But I think it would be beneficial if the hotel had more details about local attractions- e.g we wanted to go to Ravello for an outsise concert at Ravello and were advised the only concert was 1st September. This concert was indoors and there had been an outside concert the previous Thursday. maybe a list of excursions to Pompey would be helpful too.
Uncomfortable chairs on balcony! Otherwise our stay was totally delightful. ... No umberellas on the roof terrace. ... A small, friendly hotel in a quite location. The hotel is in an excellent position with wonderful views, a delightful walk from the rock beach of Marina del Praia and beside a bustop for Amalfi/Positano.

We got one oceanview room only. The other one faced the house nextdoor. Biggest problem was we did not have hot water for shower. We had to go down to the reception repeatedly to ask them to turn on the waterheater. As a result our plans for the day were delayed. We were quite annoyed.

When we arrived we were a bit daunted by the hill driveway up to the hotel and the parking on the hill, but the very friendly and efficient receptionist quickly directed us to their secure parking area behind electric gates. Then offered us a drink, organised the keys, etc. for the room and made us feel very welcome. ... Lovely hotel with very friendly people working in it who made every effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel food was brilliant too - in fact we rated it better than one of the good restaurants we went to. ... No problems checking out and the waiter even helped us take our bags down to the car. ... Views of the sea from all rooms even if you book one that is not sea facing. The food is delicious and well worth the EUR22. ... I would recommend it to any friend for all the above reasons.

Hotel could be more informative re external events trhat affect travelling in the area. Eg there was a landslide blocking the road to Amalfi. This was known to the hotel since 6:00 am. We stood in the rain waiting for a bus. The chief hotel clerk drove by us twice and did not stop to ask us what we were doing in the rain at a bus stop. After an hour, we went back in I asked him whether there was a problem with the busses. His reply that there were no busses the whole day due to the landslide.
Two things:
1 He could have stopped and told us as, especially after the second drive by, it was obvious that we were waiting for a bus.
2 Good customer service would have been to tell us at breakfast or put a note that the road was closed!!

Very nice and quiet place to stay, friendly and helpful staff, food was not great but OK which was compensated by the nice terrace with a marvellous view at the sea.

Directions on the Amalfi Coast are generally too vague. It is not so much the fault of this hotel, which I really thought was great. I knew the hotel was in Praiano, but there are several stops in Praiano and I had no idea which one to get off the bus at. As a consequence I got off too early. But everyone has this problem on the Amalfi Coast, no matter where they are staying or where they are going. The bus drivers are no help. No one gives you any kind of landmarks. It would be best if hotels told guests very explicitly where to get off the Sita bus.
Otherwise Hotel la Perla was very nice and very polite. The room was lovely, the breakfast was good and I really enjoyed myself. The terrace on the room and the view were fantastic. All of this for a very reasonable price was truly wonderful.
Thank you so much.
Clare Wellnitz ... The description on the website made me nervous about being so near the highway, but being on the highway is a great benefit for someone who doesn't have a car. The hotel should emphasis the benefit of being on the road, but also how quiet it is in Praiano despite the road. They should also emphasize the splendid view from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel very highly to anyone. ... Very easy, very quick. Splendid. ... As I said, emphasize the quiet, the convenience of being on the road and near a bus stop. And the magnificent view right from your very own terrace. I could not have imagined it would be so beautiful. ... as above.

The breakfast was less than expected. The vegetables were not fresh, the coffee was from self service machine and there was no fresh bread. At our request, we got fresh bread and coffee. We ate one dinner at the hotel's restorant, and it can not be compared withe the restorants down at the beach.Otherwise the stay was pleasant. ... Recommendable.

No ... 1) The Hotel isn't located in the centre of Praiano, you have to go by bus to get into the centre. 2) There is a lovely terrasse for having breakfast and dinner but no extra sunny place for all hotel guests to relaxe. 3) While most of the rooms have direct view to the sea and private terrasse, my single room didn't have this. 4) Bus station is next to the hotel. 5) View from the hotel is really nice, but not as great as from most of the hotels in the centre of Praiano. 6) WC/Douche in my room was simple (small room), may be in double room it is more comfortable. ... It's a nice place, quite cheap compared with the prices in the more famous villages Positano and Amalfi. Praiano (centre) is that place on the Costa Amalfitana where the sun probably goes down latest. Not so many tourists in the village.
