The property and the staff exceeded my expectations beyond any single stay I have ever encountered in over 40 years of global travel. The site and the staff/owners are first class. Siobhan in particular is one of the nicest people we have ever met.

We were warmly greeted when we arrived. We were given a tour of the facility and taken to our room which was wonderful.

We were treated like family. The staff went out of their way to help us and made accomodation when we asked. We had to leave early on our last day and the breakfast kitchen was not going to be open so they prepared bag lunches for us ahead of time and the night porter got them for us as we checked out. That is excellent and personal service beyond what many other hotels provide.

The hotel has added a hot tub/pool to their property which was a really nice surprise. Our room was wonderful, clean and spacious. The view was fabulous. The breakfast which was included was excellent and they would go out of their way to make something special if you asked.

It is a wonderful hotel with personal, friendly and warm staff. The property is built up into the cliff so there are some steps (approx. 300) to get down to the waterfront but they are not too steep. The room was very comfortable with a stunning view. The patio was a great place to enjoy the sunset or the sunrise with a fabulous view of Vesuvius.

I think it would be good to include something more about the lovely position it's in with the great views.
Also, that they will cook you dinner if you give them 24 hours notice (and therefore you could have a private dinner on your own on the terrace!)

Directions need to be improved and signage. We drove straight past the hotel twice.

We can not recommed Maison La Minervetta enough. This small family run hotel is a delight. A fantastic location with beautiful views of the bay of Naples, quite stunning. Our room was beautiful, very clean with a wall of windows that showed off the views very nicely indeed. The service and attention we receieved were excellent. The owners and staff were charming. Breakfast was simple but perfect. The whole Hotel is a design success with the most fantastic use of colours and furniture. The selection of books was also quite unique. As you can tell we loved the place and you will to. Book now before everybody finds out about it! You could not help but love this hotel and even though it lacks a restaurant and bar Sorrento is full off them so this is not a problem. So five stars from Phil and Debra and we will be back.

When we arrived we had to wait 10 minutes for one of the staff to come off the phone to check us in. Not really the welcome you want when you are on your honeymoon.

They have recently opened their pool which is really beautiful. Definitely should be mentioned as I was not aware they had a pool and considered not staying there because of that.

I would describe it as a home away from home. The environment is not one of a hotel. They have a spacious kitchen which is open at all hours, their reception area is designed as a living room with tons of books and magazines ....you feel right at home. Every room is decorated differently and in such a way that you feel like your in someones house. Also their air conditioning works great, which is rare in Italy!

Fantastic Views!! - The terrace where you would eat breakfast every day was absolutely gorgeous!! And at night you could have a drink (or a cigar, as my husband did) to relax on the terrace and just watch the view of the Marina. Very peaceful place!

I think this place doesn't have many reviews because it's relatively new, but I think it just might be undiscovered because it was a wonderful place to stay! It's right across the street from the La Minerva hotel, and next to the '7th Heaven' hotel - can't remember the name exactly - (but both of these hotels are the ones where Rick Steve recommends to stay in his guide books) which is about a 20-minute walk down to the town, but we didn't mind the walk because we has such great views and we were away from the busier part of town, which we liked. I am American, and I thought the hotel manager could have spoken a bit better English, but other than that I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. It's very modern, very clean, with a nice bathroom, very peaceful, and with great views. This was the best hotel that we stayed at in our recent trip to the Amalfi coast past of Italy. It's not cheap by American standards, but with the value of the euro these days, this hotel was worth the money.
