Profile |
Lama di Luna is a 180 hectare wide organic farm. Olive-yards, vineyards, almond- and cherry-orchards, pastures, sow fields and vegetables are organically grown (with minimal impact on nature). The main house within the farm was built in nineteenth century, and, it has been fully renovated respecting its original structure. |
Centuries old traditions have been rescued thanks to the hard work of artisans who spent several months on this project. Each single detail has been meticulously studied to let the flavour freely circulate. There are nine bedrooms each equipped with the original fireplace to create the simple yet suggestive atmosphere of the old time. |
Beds are north facing.Solar panels heat each room and heat the water that supplies each bathroom. There are no sharp corners but rather smooth ones distributed throughout the property since everything is round in nature, everything is harmonic and the circle is the shape of the scheme of life. |
Lama di Luna, with its forty chimneys, its disseminated round-shaped roof houses ("trulli"), and a suggestive cave close to the main house illustrates the history of the generations of people who have lived, worked, and rested in this magic place characterised by its endless panoramic view. To appreciate this magic place one has to go back to soil, a hard colourful and scented soil, reminiscent of our Mother Earth. |
Your excursions will be expert guided: agronomists, spelaeologists, tourist guides will help you understand our genuine land whose dazzling light still hides several mysteries. Visitors will be hand guided as children in the meanders of Mother Land to rediscover their own temporary lost world. |
