 Our farmhouse is situated in Marina della Lobra, ancient seafaring village in the heart of the marine area protect of Punta Campanella (Massa Lubrense). Approximately six miles from Capri island, Massa Lubrense represents the ideal place of departure for the tourists who want to visit this enchanting island as well as Positano, Amalfi and Sorrento and for all those who wish to spend a relaxing holiday surrounded by unspoiled nature, between paths with breathtaking views. |
 The farmhouse "La Lobra" was born in 2000 thanks to the will of Pollio's family, inhabitants of Marina delle Lobra since 1700. The area, called also "Le pezze" has particular rocky slopes, fashioned by dry stone walling into terraces fit for cultivation. In origin the farm, of approximately three hectares, was given over to the cultivation of the gelso necessary to the breeding of the worm from silk but around to 1800 it came converted to the production of lemons. |
 The particular nature of the land and the favorable climatic conditions contributed to the development of one most valuable variety of lemons with unique aromas (such as the "femminello massese"). Our lemons were initially sold only in the surroundings but very soon they came subsequently exported in North America and Great Britain. Such production that still today characterizes our company has obtained the European acknowledgment protect geographic I.G.P.(geographically protected). |
 The company adopts biological techniques of production and cultivates beyond the lemons, olives for "d.o.p." oil. Nowadays we offer also a fascinating accommodation in the ancient "grandfather's house" set in the center of the lemon groves, accurately restructured in 2000. On the ground floor there are the kitchen and the wine cellar whilst on the first floor there are the guest rooms. In 2005 we have refurbished also an ancient "colombaia" set in the olive groves obtaining gorgeous rooms equipped with every comfort (en suite bathroom, Sat/TV, air conditioning). |
