La Caravella was a beautiful and clean apartment right on the beach in Positano, arguably the most beautiful place in the world. We had great views and were situated in the center of everything. For those wishing to travel to the Amalfi Coast, you could not do any better than La Caravella in Positano. Thanks,

There probably should be some information on how exactly to get to Positano the best way. We took a train from Naples to Salerno, then back tracked to a town 30 kilometers from Amalfi via bus. Once in Amalfi, we had to wait an hour to transfer to another bus, which led to Positano. Suitcases on the bus were inconvenient and the winding roads made two in our party nauseous. The best way to get to Positano from Naples is to take a ferry jet boat from Naples to Sorrento and then onward to Positano, where the boat deposits you less than 100 meters from the apartment and cuts out all of the carrying luggage down Positano's unforgiving stairs. For those staying at the base of Positano, this is a much better option and one that should be included.

Directions to the actual property could have been clearer. Also when we arrived, we had to go looking for a person to check us in. A sign directing visitors might have been helpful

Just some of the fixtures and fittings were old - which in itself was not a problem, but the fridge (which was in the sitting room where there was a sleeping area) was really really noisey, very old, and the lounger on the balcony was unsafe to sit in, again, quite old and well worn.

Not suitable for persons with reduced mobility, due to its' location at the bottom of the many steps in lovely positano.

very clean, great location, overlooking the ocean and close to water metro, which made visiting other towns along the costs very easy. Friendly staff.
