By plane: The main airport in Sardinia is Cagliari Elmas, placed in the southern tip of the island. This terminal welcomes flights from Milan, Rome, Florence, London and Prague -among other cities in Europe- on a regular basis.
By car: Aeroporto di Elmas in the outskirts of Cagliari is placed 160 kilometres south of Tresnuraghes (approx. 3 hours driving). Take road SS130, pass the town of Elmas and join SS391. Afterwards, you will have to drive along the following roads: SP1.9, SS196 (30 kms), SP61, SS197, and after Guspini, SS126 (27 kms). Turn right into road SS131 and get off at the exit for S. Giusta/Oristano Sud. Continue along SP56 and you will cross the towns of Santa Giusta and Oristano before reaching Donigala Fenughedu. Turn right into SS292 and you will reach Tresnuraghes. Take the road to Porto Alabe and you will find La Corte degli Ulivi between both towns, 100 metres after the level crossing, on your right hand side.
By train: If you arrive at Cagliari`s airport, you can take the train from Cagliari to Macomer (around 2 hours), and then get on a bus to Tresnuraghes. There is a service connecting Porto Torres, Macomer and Tresnuraghes, which you could also take if you reach the island by boat (the nearest port is Porto Torres, where ferries arrive from Geneva on a regular basis). The property is only 1 kilometre from the centre of Tresnuraghes.
If your plane lands in Rome and you need to take a boat to Sardinia island, there are services parting from Fiumicino -where the main international airport is located- to Arbatax or Golfo Aranci`s ports. |
