 It was 1905 when the "Kulm" of mount Portofino park was crowned with its first and only hotel, which swiftly became a favorite holiday spot among royalty, nobles and artists. Total renovation of the hotel was completed in 2000 when the original Liberty style building was fitted with all the modern comforts of a luxury hotel. |
 The imperial Kursaal palace which originally housed the Casino has been transformed into a magnificent hall which can seat up to 350 people for meetings, gala events, fashion shows. Respect for environment is a priority: the hotel is dedicated to maintaining and improving the ecological equilibrium of the surrounding park. |
 Well-marked hiking trails lead nature lovers down to San Fruttuoso and the historical Benedictine Abbey, and the riviera towns of Portofino and Camogli. The "Cenobio dei Dogi" is connected to the Kulm by a courtesy shuttle bus; its private beach can also be enjoyed by guests staying at the Kulm. |
