The desk clerks both day and evening were exceptional. Their spirt of helpfulness was appreciated. Parking is sparce but they allowed us to leave our rental car until it could be retrieved by Hertz.

The cleaning staff used bleach in their cleaning water and I am allergic to bleach so we had to air the room out after their cleaning. It was a negative for me but it did assure a clean room.

We arrived in Rapallo by train, from the
maps you provided I could easily get my
berings and found the hotel with little
effort.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. They
have internet service at a reasonable rate
so were able to keep in contact with our
daughter and friends.

The hotel is located right on the harbor of
Rapallo and there are several areas in the
hotel including a second floor deck where
you can take in the beautiful sunsets and
watch people enjoying the boardwalks. I
would recommend getting a room on the habor
side, even though it costs more. our room
was over a street. it was quiet with the
windows closed but very noisey when open.
Rapollo must be the scooter capital of the
world. Although this generates a certain
vitality to the town, it also creates a lot
of noise.

I would highly recommend Albergo Italia e
Lido to friends. The room was comfortable,
the staff was friendly and the breakfast
with a view was excellent.

The satff was really nice. I arrived before the check-in time, but they arranged so I could leave my luggage at their care. Very organised desk and very helpfull.

I was really satisfied with the service offered by this hotel. The restaurant is very good and the service warm and honest. As a single guest I know the value/person is higher than as a couple or family; however it was not much overpriced.

The staff is very warm and welcoming.
They are always ready to provide information and help when necessary. The hotel in indeed very close to the train station. Short taxi ride suggested by the website is actually less than 5 minutes!!! So if one doesn't have too much luggage I would recomend walk. It takes 10 minutes and it would save you 10-15 euros.

Very cordial during our arrival, and the check-in process was fast and efficient.

We flew to Italy from the USA, and our luggage was lost in Paris. It was important that we receive it by the next day, as we were leaving on a cruise. The proprietors immediately offered to make phone calls on our behalf, which was extremely helpful and thoughtful.
We ate dinner in the restaurant, and had an excellent meal. The chef made a special vegetarian pasta dish, which was not on the menu, for our daughter!

I can't remember if the web site mentioned how close the hotel is to Rapallo's central market plaza. We walked the short distance, and found it quite enjoyable.

A wonderful hotel, in a great location, with friendly and accommodating proprietors and staff. Our room was large, with a fantastic view of the sea. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Our room had a wonderful view from the balcony over the Gulf of Tigullio. This hotel is in one of the best spots in one of the most beautiful towns in Italy.
The hotel was built in the 1930s and has the feel of that period. It is a comfortable place that has stayed pretty much the same over the years. It made me nostalgic for times gone by and places that you can rely on to be the same year after year.
All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We got a pleasant greeting from everyone including maids, the front desk, and the restaurant staff whenever they saw us.
I recommend the hotel highly.
The one negative is that from the website I got the impression that the building was air conditioned throughout. The lobby was definitely cool but our room only had a ceiling fan. However, even though it was in the high 80s to low 90s and humid, the fan and the sea breeze through the windows made it ok. I would say that this was ok but maybe they should clarify that rooms have ceiling fans only. If it is warm and windows are left open at night, I recommend earplugs With the windows closed street noise isn't bad.

It is even more beautiful that the photos on the website. Rapallo is a great place to stay if you want to be where Italians go on vacation (and they know the best spots). You can take boat rides to Portofino, the wonderful San Fruttuoso, and Camogli (better than any photos I ever saw and with virtually no non-Italians). The food is tremendous. I have never had such good pesto.

There are not very many parking spaces at the hotel and nearby parking was an additonal 13 euro/day. The staff are fabulous - very friendly and knowledgeable. I would stay here again.

The hotel was right on the water with a great view of Rapallo and the ocean. The walk along the promenade was very nice and restaurants in the area were great -including the hotel restaurant. The beaches are all rocky and many are just cement blocks or piers over the water.
