The description and picture of the hotel leads one to believe it is on the water, but in fact the main road into town actually is between the hotel and the beach. At times the traffic noise was a bit much.

A lovely hotel with more than helpful and friendly staff. The setting overlooking the bay is magnificant. A first class hotel.

Only comment is that it is very noisy (street sounds) and they should have better sound proofing - very difficult to sleep

We had a wonderful stay the Imperiale Palace. While the facility was initially a little bit 'older' than we had anticipated given the rates, we ultimatley found the facility to be very good, the service and helpfulness of the staff, exceptional, and the location perfect. We would definitely return.

I expected a more modern, 5 star type accomodation. However, the facility, after the initial adjustment of expectations, proved to very enjoyable.

We asked for a room with twin beds and we got a double. However, they separated them whilst we were at dinner

A beautiful, relaxing place to stay. A definite recommnend to anyone who wants to stay near on the coast. The nicest hotel in Santa Margherita

Despite what I've heard about the receptionist she was quite friendly and helpful on our arrival. The hotel must have changed receptionist considering the number of complaints I've read on line.

Our experience was very good overall and we would stay there again. We loved the location, the private beach and the staff was very friendly. We had a not-so-great experience with one of the hotel employee at the beach. We seem to be discrimmated against when it came to requesting for towels and beach chairs. That was not the case with all the employees at the beach - just this one.

We asked for a late checkout on our last day and the hotel as well as receptionist was very accomodating. They had clients arriving staying in our room that day but was able to place them in another room so we could have a late check out.
