Fabulous! We have left our hearts at the Hotel Villa Belvedere! The whole ambiance of this place, the village Bonassola and the Mediterranean Sea was and is without words to properly describe. We were married last year in our beautiful garden at home but if I had known about this place then, I'd have waited and gotten married there this year. We actually cancelled one of our days in Florence to stay another day here as they had our room available. The meals were a gourmet delight. So yes, we were thrilled with everything about this place.

Not sure if anything is said about the meals that they provide. Dinner is available at 15 euro's per person and is worth the experience. The owner/chef is excellent.

Well, to be honest I wouldn't share this little gem because it would become to popular and harder to get into BUT to be fair I will be telling everyone what a delightful place this was if they would like a romantic place to go to.

with delayed flights, change of airport destinations, long train rides - they still waited up and met me at the train station at midnight!

If you need tranquility, attentive service, excellent food (and wine!) - this is the place to stay. The owners and their staff could not have possibly made my stay more excellent. I will definitely be back and have already recommended the place to friends.

We were picked up at the train station, as promised. Everything was good.

Transportation without a car was a little more difficult than I anticipated, but this may have been a problem with my expectations, not with the website. Also, the website promises pick-up and drop-off at the train station, but we left very early in the morning and drop-off was not available at that time so we had to walk with all our luggage (there are no taxis in Bonasolla).

I think it would be impossible to adequately convey the beauty and charm and peace of this hotel on a website -- the fragrant air, the quiet house, that total sense of being well-cared for, it was all lovely. Plus they bake their own croissants every morning and they are fabulous!

Very clean and professionally run. Quiet and an ideal location in the Cinque Terre for exploring. Too bad I did not have a friend to rely on for advise before I vacationed in Italy. What a lovely stay we had. The staff were very helpful and its in a very beautiful setting - away from the main cinque terre towns so a more local feeling.

At one point my partner got quite sick and
the staff managed to arrange for a doctor to
visit the hotel - quite tricky on a Saturday
afternoon - and were very helpful in
interpreting during the doctor's visit. In
the following days they always asked how he
was feeling and even made special meals as he
could only eat certain things for a few days.
So we were very lucky that they were so
helpful. We really liked Bonassola and would
certainly recommend the Belvedere to friends.

more than the Cinque Terre villages, although
Monterosso was lovely too.

The only negative of our stay was to say the rooms have no sound proofing. We could hear other guests next door that was actually 3 rooms away. We were forced to whisper to each other.

The view from the hotel is awesome; a dream view of the bay. The walk to the township, though a little steep, was very handy (5min)and such a pretty walk.

Margherita, the concierge, was wonderful. During our entire stay, she provided us with very helpful suggestions on places to visit during sunny and rainy days. She made the entire hotel experience sparkle for us.
We especially appreciated her warm demeanor after visiting our next hotel in Bonassola, Cinque Terre where the staff was not particularly warm or friendly. Friends of ours recommended the Aurora, and they were right about everything.
The hotel restaurant was also very good for dinner so we ate there every night. The pizzas and calzones were huge and very tasty. They're also affordable given the poor dollar to Euro ratio now.

The Aurora is a wonderful, family-run B&B with a convenient restaurant they also own right on the premises in case you don't want to venture far for dinner. The only negative was the breakfasts which could have been better. The coffee tasted a bit odd in our opinion, and everything else was very basic and low effort- cereal, fruit, croissants and juice. It would have been nice to have pancakes or scrambled eggs in the buffet. At the same time, Margherita, the concierge, will make your stay comfortable and memorable. She knows all the best places to go if you need suggestions, and is already to help with a smile. The rooms were moderately sized, but very clean. Although the hotel is on the main road and our room faced it on the second floor, if you closed the windows the room was totally quiet. The hotel is a good buy to be near Bellagio (the best of the towns), but still be in the heart of Lake Como.

They offer a wonderful evening meal, this is extra of course but excellent value for money, I would class it as 'fine dinning'. The presenatation and quality of the food and the service was outstanding

A friendly hotel and a staff that makes you feel you are almosy visiting a family. Just a bit away from the very touristic towns to the south, so the perfect starting location for the area.

I would say that if you want to feel like you are right at home high on a hill above the Italian Seacoast, this is the place to visit.

It was wonderful. The room was small, but clean, with lots of hot water---and a gorgeous view. The property had beautiful gardens, lovely breakfast room and terrace and was only a short walk to the village. The owners were delightful and helpful. The town was one of the nicest we visited. We would stay there again, and will recommend it to friends. Our only regret is that all the rooms with balcony were already taken!

The Villa was on a mountain side with a view of the ocean. The area was very beautiful and quiet. It was a place to relax away from touristy areas. The room was nice and clean with basic furnishings. The staff was very nice and very accommodating to any of our requests. The food they served was good and affordably priced.

The local roads from the highway were very scenic but also extremely windy and narrow. One has to drive with great caution to reach the destination. Once there, though, you are rewarded with a place of great charm and beauty.
