Our baggage was lost coming to Italy, the staff was extreamly sweet and understanding. They kept us up to date of the situation and were very helpful in our correspondance with the airlines and courrier services.Wonderful people! It was a pleasure and we would highly reccomend it to our friends.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful people. It is just a two minuite walk on the beautiful waterfront to town.I would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous hotel to all our friend or to anyone traveling to the region.

Free parking on the property, we could leave the car and not worry about it until we left Menaggio. Gates were locked each night, security was good. Very narrow roads, very scary at times - perhaps if we went again, we would fly into Milano and catch a bus but the experience was great.

The property was the best in Menaggio from what we could see, the views were fantastic, the weather was just beautiful. The lake magic, especially with a full moon!
The village was clean and people friendly, nice eating places. We dined at the hotel and could not complain about anything at all. Breakfast, which was included was plentiful. The rooms were very nice and the view from our window over the lake spectacular. Very romantic place, great for honeymooners. We still found it romantic even though we have been married 38 years!!! One day we caught a bus (drivers just amazing) to Como and another day to Lugano - the bus stop 2 mins walk from the hotel. We caught the ferry back from Como - a five minute walk back to our hotel. Great shopping in Lugano. It was fairly quiet in May - just like we wanted.

No complaints although if you want to check out prior to 8am - do it the night before if possible.
We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

The director, Paolo Palano, was extremely helpful and courteous. He went out of his way more than once for us during our stay including arranging a round of golf for us. He couldn't have been more courteous and helpful.

Generally good, location good, and in a quiet location when compared to the other 4* Hotel. Would stay there again. Menu restrictive if staying for more than a few days.

we used hotel taxi, arriving 10.30pm, there was a wedding on, but we were unable to get something to eat.

we found our double room small, basic.There is no shower in the bathroom, a showerhead,no curtain, so to have a shower was impossible. the housekeeping was very good.The single room the same.The fact that there is a cover charge for guests eating in the hotel was very annoying.All the restuarants had one.
It was extremely quiet there, a little music, a piano,or something would'nt have gone amiss.

Excellent reception, had everything ready for us.

The walls between the rooms are very very thin. We heard EVERYTHING that went on in the rooms adjoining ours. The breakfasts were great, as was the food in the restaurant for dinner. All the staff were very courteous and helpful.

I know its tough, but you should mention the privacy issue of the rooms.

I was disappointed that only about 50% of the staff was gracious and interested in helping us, as American tourists, find our way around. The other 50% gave us grudging service.

Very courteous and friendly

The accomodation areas were less luxurious than we might have expected - carpets were old and many of the floors appeared to be deserted

Beautiful position and lovelly building - the service was very good and atmosphere was very relaxing. The views are wonderful - the rooms were smaller than we might have hoped, and not to a very high standard. However the room was comfortable and clean and very private. We enjoyed aour stay.
