Unpretentious and nice place on the sunny side of the lake, with best views over the lake to Bellagio and Varenna, and plentiful of good food at choice for our half board. Best of all, the friendly people.

Adriano's son made a call to Rome to check on our missing luggage almost as soon as we arrived.

Our stay at Hotel Riviera was very pleasant. The small balcony with its view over Lake Como made our time there special.

If you go to Lake Como, consider staying at the Hotel Riviera and ask for a room with a balcony that overlooks the lake.

There will always be some traffic noise from a roadside hotel, but the recently double-glazed windows reduced the noise considerably. The balcony and view more than made up for that!
A very good buffet breakfast at a time to suite all clients and a very professional evening menu for those who choose to eat in.

Air conditioning would be a benefit in the height of the summer if the bedroom windows are closed.

Not only the arrival, but our entire stay was truly wonderful...as my wife says....it's like staying with cousins. The hotel, restaurant, and the whole family could not have been nicer or friendlier. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for all the above reasons.

It is a simple and nice hotel, very friendly people, a good location very near to the ferry to bellagio, menagio etc. It is really good value for money. The only (small) negative issue is the traffic as this hotel is located directly at the road.

the hotel is located next to the boats to bellagio.
The owner of the hotel is a wonderfull person who helps you in everything you ask for.

Highly recommended. The only dissapointment was that the shutters would not open, thus no view of the lake.

As the hotel is located on the promenade, it tended to get noisy in the evening or early morning. However, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. It made up for it when you opened the windows and looked out over the Lake. What a gorgeous location!

The availability of a public pool directly across the road. We had 3 children with us and they didn't want to swim in the Lake, so the pool was very handy.

We had a wonderful time thanks to the management. They were very helpful with their knowledge of the area. The room was great, clean and large. Overall, the service was very good.

Being located on a main road the rooms were extremely noisy and sleep was hard to come by. The rooms were adequate but not what one would expect in a three star hotel.

Yes, we were put up in a largish room but the shower space was very small.
There was no receptionist.

Can't answer last question. We arrived in the evening in rain. Family and staff busy serving supper. Hotel was not as spacious as we had thought it to be but was truthfully described in the profile by the owners as a former inn for travellers along the way.
We stayed a night only as we required a larger bathroom with a bath, but went back to eat at their homely restaurant where we were received most hospitably by father, son and little grandaughter, Gaia.

Inn type hotel, therefore older construction,so not for those who require a bath.
