By car
From Milan take the Main Road Statale 36 (Milano-Lecco-Colico), continue on to Bormio along the SS.38 and then to S.Caterina Valfurva, or take the provincial road through the Gavia Pass or from Valcamonica through the Aprica Pass. You can also come from Switzerland by passing through Livigno or Tirano, or from South Tyrol by passing through the Stelvio Pass.
By train and bus
There is a train from Milan that runs along the Milano - Lecco - Colico - Tirano route, once in Tirano there is a bus service to S.Caterina Valfurva. From Switzerland you can also travel by train to Tirano on the Red Bernina train.
By air
The nearest airports are Milano and Bergamo Orio al Serio. From there you can take the train till Tirano and the the bus till Santa Caterina. In winter time there are shuttles leaving from the airport and arriving directly to Bormio (10 km far), please ask for this service, and we will give you more details. |
