Hotel Cervo features a restaurant where we propose typical dishes as well as national and international cooking.
Pizzoccheri The Pizzoccheri are an old speciality in the traditional cooking of Valtellina. They are made with buckwheat, diffused and raised in Alpine valleys. Flour is also called "Black flour" because of its colour and has to be kneaded with practiced hands to obtain this very famous kind of "pasta" and known as the very typical dish in Valtellina. |

Being an important skiing region and famous for the Alpine Ski World Cup races, Bormio offers the possibility to practise every type of winter and snow sports. During the summer season, Bormio, which is surrounded by the National Parc of the Stelvio, has the advantage of a particular favourable climate. The ancient Roman Baths with their thermal water, springing off the rocks at a temperature of between 35° - 42° C are there to be enjoyed.
Three valleys meet together in Bormio; Valdisotto, Valdidentro and Valfurva. The little river called "Viola" runs through the Valdidentro, which extends to the west and divides itself into the Viola-Valley (Val Viola) and the Val di Foscagno, from where you get, via the little village Trepalle and the Eirapass, to Livigno. In the north, there is the Adda-Valley (Valle dell'Adda), which is divided into two further valleys; the one, where the river Adda springs, and the Braulio Valley, which leads to the Stelvio pass. To the east of Bormio you find the Valfurva, rich of woods and waters, with the village Santa Caterina at the top. This is where the Gavia Valley begins if you go on to the south, but to the east borders the largest glacier of the Italian Alps with peaks higher than 3500 metres. Southbound, the Valdisotto connects Bormio with the Valtellina and with the Lake Como and the Po Valley. |
