It would be helpful to know the variation of
the rooms and the options available to
choose from. For example; Larger room,
sitting area, balcony available, small
sleeping room only, need full bathroom,
require shower only, etc.

Beautiful grounds, a bit of a lovely view
and, though exceedingly convenient to
lakeshore and all activities, restaurants
etc., just far enough away to provide peace
and quiet from the throngs of tourist
crowds. Coffee and breakfast wonderful.
Linens luxurious high quality! Beware of
VERY small bath facilities in-room. There
are balconies in some rooms and would have
liked to have been aware of that. I would
request a room with a balcony. The family
owners are SO hospitable, one feels as
though visiting a home, not a hotel.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Centrale. The service was excellent, our room was cozy, the breakfast room was so cute, and the courtyard was beautiful. I would love to stay here again!

Don't expect to see the 'Bellagio' of Las Vegas in Bellagio Italy. However, if you are looking for old world charm Hotel Centrale is the place you will want to stay.

We were up very early that day to catch a flight from Paris and were very happy to meet the owner of the Hotel and enjoyed the room.

EXCELLENT STAY. CONVENIENT TO ALL OF LAKE COMO. FERRY SERVICES, RESTAURANTS, LOCAL SIGHTS ALL IN WALKING DISTANCE OF A FEW MINUTES.

The man who runs the hotel was very helpful and ended up taking good care of us - directions to the train, advice on where to go. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

The location is great, despite being up MANY stone steps. Close proximity to everything in town, including the ferry.

Loved the property, location, owners, the sumptious breakfast, and accomodations. The only thing that was a little strange was that when we arrived the owner seemed a little taken back with our confirmation email and seemed to have to scramble a little to situate us. Will highly recommend this hotel to others.

Small enough to be intimate and comfortable, very friendy and accomaditing staff (owners) rooms new and updated. You should stay at least a two day MINIMUM. Recommend the fast boat to Como and the slow boat back. Bring your Camera !!

the property was very clean. the hotel had been rebuilt within the past few years and all fixtures, the tv, the bed, etc were new and very good.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise, with large, very clean, air conditioned, modern rooms. Our rooom had a patio outside as an added bonus. The breakfasts were good and the location of the hotel, while not on the lakefront, was steps away from the lake. If we return to Bellagio, we will stay here.

Hotel Centrale Bellagio is absolutely gorgeous. The moment we arrived we felt so welcome.

We could not have found a better place. The breakfast was wonderful; the owners' son Michael was so helpful and charming. And the little wine bar/internet cafe just outside the Centrale's entrance was a great place to relax and experience fabulous Italian wines.

We couldn't add anything that hasn't been said -- Hotel Centrale Bellagio is simply a wonderful charming inn. We'd return in a minute. Everything is in walking distance and the boat dock is an easy five minute walk.

Could have used better directions on how to get to the hotel from Como. We ended up taking a Taxi, which was a little costly.

We arrived fairly early, and got one of the better rooms, so we were very happy with the accomodation.
The one negative is that security is lax - room key are left out on reception so if there is nobody around it would be simple to take a key and enter someone's room. As a result we kept our key with us.

A family hotel, with a welcome for everyone. Very good value for money, right in the centre of town - a great location. Breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were clean and airy. Probably our best hotel experience in Italy this year.

The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were quiet in the evening. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very helpful wrt making suggestions for dinner, places to see, etc. One member of our group had left a passport at our previous hotel, staff at Hotel Centrale was exceptionally helpful in assisting us in getting the passport returned.

One glitch was a problem in processing an international visa card---problem was with the credit card scanner not the hotel (was not the first time we had had trouble with scanning of international credit cards in Italy). Staff was very considerate in terms of working out payment.

A clean comfortable home away from home. Lovely breakfast room and courtyard. Helpful staff. Parking was not a big problem but as in all trips to Europe taking big suitcases is crazy. Expect to walk up steep walkways--which is part of the charm. Bellagio was the perfect place to stay on Lake Como.

The location of the Hotel was perfect. The rooms were very clean and the staff was more than helpful. The owner and his family made us feel very welcome and comfortable. They had great recomendations for dinner and day trips to local towns. Plus the free DSL access was a great bonus.

We arrived late, tired and hungry. We got excellent recommendations for a late dinner and handled our check in after our bellies were content.

Absolutely FREE internet access in the rooms either through WiFi connection or a provided ethernet cable. A lot of hotels have internet either in the rooms or a business center on site, but most of them charge for the service. Bring your laptop to this place!

I emailed the hotel previously about information on car parking, and they were very prompt and provided very clear and helpful directions.

Our only concern was that the rooms were very noisy - in the mornings, we were able to hear everything going on in the hotel - from noise outside the hotel to people in the next room using the bathroom!

A lovely clean hotel, in a great central location, with friendly staff. The breakfast was enjoyable, particularly the long hours during which it was available! Make sure you contact the hotel ahead of time if you need parking directions. Be aware that the rooms are poorly insulated, so it can get very noisy, both in terms of outside noise and noise inside the hotel from other guests.

The hotel is difficult to find, as are all
of the hotels in Bellagio except the few on
the main street. The owner checked us in
and made an exceptional effort to help us
get our luggage to the hotel and to find
parking. I cannot imagine a better welcome
than the one we received to the Hotel
Centrale.

small hotels in Europe and exceptionally
clean and well appointed. The breakfast was
very good-fresh fruits, cheeses, breads,
meats, juices as well as cereals.

We were walking from the bus station, therefore we were on the main road along the lake. Walked to Piazza Guiseppe Mazzini, found Salita Plinio, and walked up the steps. It's not as bad as it sounds. It's a 5-10 min. walk unless you stop to shop or have a drink.

Giacomo was very helpful with sights to see, restaurants to try, etc. The room was small, but clean. The bathroom was also small by american standards, but clean. Breakfast and coffee were wonderful.

The outdoor terrace wasn't used for breakfast because summer was over, but my visit in Oct. was quite warm, and breakfast outside would've been more perfect. As it was, the breakfast room was very cute and comfortable.

The hotel is charming and characterful with a lovely, airy breakfast room in which an excellent brakfast was served.We enjoyed our stay but two things need attention. The storage/hanging space was inadequate for our needs and we had to leave half our clothes folded in suitcases.The garden needed a bit more attention and the garden furniture was not very attractive.

A friendly ,family run ,small hotel in the heart of Bellagio only a few metres away from the ferry terminals and the chic shops and pavement cafes.
Accommodation is clean and the bed was very comfortable. We would return for a short stay but the bedroom was not suitable for sitting and reading as it was a bit dark and only one upright chair was provided. A very convenient base for sightseeing etc.

Felt restaurant recommendations were based on owner's desire to help friends rather than provide an appropriate eating experience -eg as non meat eaters prepared to spend a bit we were guided to empty grill type restaurants !
