Meeting Room: Why not choosing Verbania Intra as business venue? The "Contesté" is a completely soundproof room, equipped with ultimate acoustic solutions for an optimal listening. It's a large and typically modern room; thanks to its flexibility - allowing horse-shoe, theatre and classroom arrangements - it is suitable for every kind of meeting up to 45 people. Vaulted Room: The name " Vaulted Room" is due to the particular architecture of its ceiling, as shown in the pictures. The vaults remind of the 17th century and the exposed brick inserts add to their charm. Hotel Ancora is located downtown in Verbania Intra on the lakefront (20 mt from the harbour), close to shops, restaurants, supermarkets and useful facilities. Chemist, grocery stores, cash with bank dispenser can be found within walking distance. For guests coming by car there are paying parking spaces (unattended) at 10 mt. Paying parking spaces only with free 24 hour-tickets at 20 mt. available on demand.

Verbania Intra: is a small village but has a long tradition of providing hospitality to families seeking a peaceful place of rare beauty. Verbania Intra and its surroundings offers many activities and places of interest:

- Nature lovers can not miss to visit "Villa Taranto" a large park where there are more than twenty thousand plant species, set in a splendid scenery of fountains, greenhouses amd impeccable gardens.

- Close to Verbania Intrea we find Pallanza, a small lakeside town rich in historical and artistic sights such as the church of Madonna di Campagna, the romanesque church of St. Stefano.

- Art lovers will find a wide collection of plaster casts at Palazzo Dugnani by Paolo Troubetzkoy, paintings of Piedmont's and Lombard schools and an archaelogical section.

Borromean Islands: the Borromean Islands owned by the Borromeo family feature splendid gardens. The terraces are adorned with monumental vases of citrus fruit and flowers, pools, fountains, statues and obelisks. Thanks to the favourable climate the islands enjoy a unique flora made of stunning subtropical plants. The Borromeo family were found for theatre and these gardens provided an alluring backgoround for pieces. The botanical gardens on Isola Madre, the largest of the Borromean islands are its main attraction along with the impressive mansion with loggia façade that one of the Borromeos began building in about 1550. The Islands can be easily reached by boat.
