The reception at Hotel La Vecchia Palma opens 24 hours a day: the reception and lounge area boasts the same charming, antique style of the chambers. Here you will be able to rest after your excursions.In the mornings, a self-service breakfast is offered: there are juices, coffee, chocolate, yoghurt, biscuits, croissants, bread, butter and jam, among other items. If you prefer to have breakfast in your room, just require it, and you may even take it in the garden, if you wish to make the most of the fresh air. The American Bar of the property opens till 11 o`clock: it served only drinks though. |

| The classical Sicilian baroque style that the Vecchia Palma sports has a lot to do with the history of Catania: due to an earthquake occurred in the east of Sicily in 1693, the rebuilding of the city was carried out in the start of the 18th century, following the premises of this architecture. You should check the constructions on Via dei Crociferi, and of course, have a look at the exception to the rule: Ursino Castle was the only building to survive the earthquake, therefore its appearance differs from most of the buildings in the city. |
