The Hotel Sorriso is a 4-star lodging with various common areas where to relax or make the most of the many services available. At the hall, wooden walls and marble floors lead your way to the reception desk, open 24 hours a day with staff speaking Italian, English and French. Among the services provided here, ask for fax and copy service, booking of taxis and guided tours. |
A small garden, a bar where to take cocktails and a reading room with an internet point (for no additional cost you can check your e-mail or keep in touch with friends and family) complete the facilities within the property. In the mornings, a breakfast buffet is displayed at the restaurant, containing yoghurts, croissants, cakes, biscuits, cereals, juices, cheeses and sliced hams; then, for your return in the afternoon the staff prepares a courtesy "Afternoon tea-coffee service". |
The restaurant inside the Hotel Sorriso only works for business gatherings, coffee breaks or cocktails. For individual guests there is a wide variety of restaurants within walking reach from the inn, and at the front desk you may even get arrangements for places to eat really well 400 metres away or within the historical centre. All sorts of cleaning services are also available, so that you may reach your business meeting as if you were staying at home: there is a machine for the cleaning of shoes, a box with the newspapers of the day and laundry service on request. |

| By staying at the Hotel Sorriso, you will be only 400 metres from the historical centre of Lucera. As you walk towards it, the Vagno public square comes into view, as well as one of the medieval gates to the city, Porta Foggia. Then, a bit farther you may visit the Cathedral, placed 800 away from the front door of the Hotel Sorriso: it is one of the landmarks of Lucera, built by Carl II of Angió to celebrate the victory over the Sarracens. Other interesting sightseeing points are the Garibaldi theatre (500 metres), Lucera`s court (800 metres) and the Roman Amphitheatre Augusto (900 metres). This last one is one of the most remarkable in southern Italy. |
