| Salina gives you opportunity to enjoy its pristine natural environment. You can hike to Monte Fossa Delle Felci, or Monte Porri. Or you can take a boat to the island of Stromboli and climb to the top of the crater. Nearby the hotel is Pollara Bay, where the famed film 'Il Postino' was shot. Enjoy the most incredible sunset from this location. On the island, there are many species of birds, from the small nesting types, to birds of prey. Forests and mountains are populated with many fauna such as wild rabbits. You might also come across on your hikes the harmless yet rare black eoliana lizard. It is therefore well recommended to see this magnificent island by car, on foot, and by boat. Exploring the crystal clear waters with its rocky backdrops and multi-colored fish, small inlets, hidden beaches of pebbles, and imposing walls overhanging the sea, will, simply put, take your breath away. Also available, tours of Salina by boat, or you could rent a scooter on which you can give yourself a tour.
