By plane: The closest airports are the ones serving Milan and the whole region of Lombardy. In the outskirts of Milan you will find Malpensa International airport -placed 147 kilometres from the hotel-, while a bit closer to Milan European and domestic flights arrive in Linate airport -117 kms-. They are both easily connected to downtown Milan by public transport.
By car: From Linate airport, go along Via TRaversi and veer right into road SP15B, which will lead you to a roundabout. Here, take the first exit, Via Giuseppe di Vittorio, and as you come close to San Donato Milanese, turn right into SS415/SP415 towards "Milano/ Tangenziale Est/ Autostrade". Next you must take your right into road A51 and stay on it for around 16 kilometres, before getting off at the exit "TANGENZIALE NORD/ E64/ A4/ TORINO/ SS35/ COMO/ SS36/ LECCO/ MALPENSA". Turn right at A52 and leave this track at the exit "SS36/ LECCO/ MONZA/ VILLA REALE". When you reach Cinisello Balsamo, continue along SP5 and, later on, along SS36. You will stay on this road for around 80 kilometres, passing close to Lecco and Dubino before taking your left into SS340DIR. As you enter Gravedona, go along Via Regina Levante and you will find the property on number 10, a few blocks before downtown. (1 hour 40 minutes)
If your flight lands in Malpensa, take Strada per Malpensa and turn left into Via Facchinetti. Take your left again in road SP52 and drive towards "MALPENSA/ TERMINAL 2/ CASE NUOVE/ VIZZOLA TICINO/ LONATE POZZOLO/ NOVARA/ MILANO/ VARESE/ A1". As you come close to Somma Lombardo, you will reach a roundabout where you must take the third exit into road SS36. Head in the direction Malpensa Terminal 2 and Milano before taking road A8: after passing Legnano and Rho on this track, drive towards "E66/ VENEZIA/ TANGENZIALE EST/ MILANO/ V.LE ZARA/ LINATE" and as you approach Milano, get off at the exit signalled as "CINISELLO BALSAMO/ SESTO SAN GIOVANNI/ MILANO/ V.LE ZARA". When you reach Cinisello Balsamo, follow the indications already described. (2 hours)
By train: At Milano Centrale railway station, you will find connections to Colico -the nearest station, 16 kilometres from Hotel Regina- that take around 1 hour 20 minutes (the name of this connection is "Milano-Lecco-Sondrio/Tirano"). You can reach Milano Central from Malpensa on the Malpensa Express railway service or by bus number 73 from Linate. At Colico there are buses departing to Gravedona: they take 20 minutes to reach town and they stop right in front of the hotel. In case you come from Rome, trains to Milan take around 4 hours and a half. |
