Placed in the historical centre of Otranto, only steps from the Cathedral dell`Annunziatta and Castello Aragonese, two of the main sights in town- Palazzo Papaleo is a two-storey neoclassical building that was originally erected on Via Rondachi in the beginning of the 1900. Towards the end of this century, the Papaleo di Bagnolos, an aristocratic family that had lived in the Salento area since the 16th century acquired the property, and finally, after a complete restoration carried out in 2007, it opened as the only hotel in the historical centre of Otranto.

Among its services, the lodging offers 24 hour attention at the reception desk, a complete buffet breakfast and bar service; there are also wellness services such as a Jacuzzi and sunbathing areas. However, the jewel of this property is its roof garden, from where you will obtain a 360º panorama of Otranto and the Salento sea, only a few blocks away. Guests may choose among 9 guestrooms that still exhibit some of the original features of the house: the ceilings, covered in frescoes, the old lamps setting a cosy atmosphere, and even some ebony figures created by artisans from Piccino di Maglie in the 19th century.
