By plane: In order to reach the Val Gardena area, you may take a flight to the airports of Bolzano, in Italy, and Innsbruck (120 km), in Austria. The first welcomes flights from other cities in Italy as well as European points such as Hannover, Berlin, London and Zürich.
By car: From the airport in Bolzano, you can take the A22 motorway, the Brenner motorway, up to the exit "Chiusa/Val Gardena". Follow the signs to Val Gardena and around 20 minutes later you will be in Ortisei. (Ortisei is 36 kilometres from Bolzano).
By train: Ortisei is really easy to reach by public transport and the hotel offers free transport to pick you up on your arrival. At the airport in Bolzano, you can take a train to the railway central station, and from there a bus to Ortisei (other railway services such as the Intercity and the Eurostar also stop at the Bolzano station). After around half and hour, you will get to the bus stop in the village, which is only 1 kilometre away from the inn. You can either walk to the Hotel Grien (it is a 20 minutes stroll) or use the pick up service. From Milano (4 hours from the lodging) and Verona (2 hours and a half) you can also get buses to Ortisei in winter season. |
