One of the main services provided by the Hotel Grien is the free transfers on a 4-wheel-drive van to and from all cable cars in the area: this pick up service works up to 10 pm, enabling you to reach the ski slopes without moving your car or worrying about directions. The inn has a covered garage where you can park your vehicle for free, and baby sitting (for an extra cost) so that you can go for the challenging tracks while your kids have fun at the hotel.
 
The Hotel Grien offers a halfboard system, including breakfast and dinner, but for an extra payment you can also have lunch. The manager`s father is a hunter, therefore one of the specialties is the deer meat, complimented with Tyrolean dumping sauce. As for the first meal, you can have marmalades, ham, eggs, croissants and cheese, served at the restaurant of the inn.
 
The reception desk is open up to midnight, with staff speaking English, Italian, German and French, but you can make a night call if there is anything you need. There is also an Internet point in the hall and a beauty and wellness centre in the level -3, where you can try the warm waterbeds, the whirlpool with salt water from the Himalayan Mountains and the Kneipp trail, among other facilities (the only services that must be paid for extra are the massages and the beauty treatments).

Even though Val Gardena is specially interesting in the snowy season, summer time is also worthwhile. You can practise golf within a fascinating surrounding, go paragliding or horse-riding, take a guided excursion to the mountains or even climb to their peaks. The village of Ortisei (also accessible on the free transfer service provided by the hotel) has shops, restaurants and a cinema where to have fun after a day at the slopes.
