 The hotel works on the ground floor and first floor of a property from 1850 that stands on the famous Via Balbi, in the historical centre of this city that developed around the port. In fact, the "Porto Antico" is only 450 metres away: nowadays it is one of the must-sees included in every tour around Genoa, but it used to be the heart of this city. |
 At Hotel Balbi there are 15 guestrooms of a fancy decoration: besides bright, fluorescent colours on the pillows and bedspreads, at eight of these chambers you will enjoy a marvellous fresco on the ceiling, as a legacy from the past that was preserved during the restorations. Until 1960, the property used to be a private house owned by a wealthy family; afterwards it was turned into a lodging, being the last renovations made in 2006. |
