 Guests at the hotel can find lake dŽOrta just 20 metres away from the hotel and the beach is a mere 800 metres only, so guests can enjoy laying out in the sun and working on their tan. The town its self contains many beautiful buildings to admire and there are many fine restaurants and small shops to discover. Located just outside of Orta San Giulio is Sacro Monte; the area is a complex of 20 chapels dedicated to St Francis. They contain frescoes and life size terracotta's of scenes from St Francis life. A visit to the nearby island of San Giuliois is a must with its beautiful buildings and the 9th century Basilica of Saint Giulio is its crowning glory. |
