By Plane The airport that serves the many seaside resorts of Pescara is the Aeroporto Pasquale Liberi or Internazionale d`Abruzzo, placed only 6,5 kilometres from the Hotel Ambra Palace. It has connections to other cities in Italy as well as many within Europe, from London and Barcelona to Frankfurt and Paris. If you don`t rent a car at the terminal, you can easily reach the property by bus in 10 minutes.
By Car As you leave the airport, go along the SS5 motorway and then the SS16 towards "Centro/Porto". Drive on along SS16DIR C and get off at the exit signalled as "Pescara/ Piazza Italia". You will soon arrive in Pescara, where you must turn right at Piazza Italia, take Piazza Duca d`Aosta and Corso Vittorio Emanuelle II before reaching a roundabout. Here, just continue along the first exit, Via Quarto dei Mille, and you will find the inn at the corner of this street and Via Michelangelo Forti, on your right hand side. (This journey will take you around 10 minutes).
If you are coming from Rome, the distance of around 200 kilometres will be covered in around 2 hours 10 minutes: in this case you must take the exit "Pescara-Chieti" at the A25/E80 highway.
By Train At the Pescara airport you can take bus number 38, which will leave you off at the old railway station, right in front of the new one (300 metres from the hotel) in around 10 minutes. If you arrive by train at the Pescara Centrale station (for example, from Rome it is a journey of around 4 hours), you will have to walk around 5 minutes to cover these 300 metres: just continue straight on, pass through the bus station, turn left in Corso Vittorio Emanuelle II and you will come to a roundabout with a huge olive tree in the middle. Take your right at Via Quarto dei Mille and the inn will come into view a block ahead. |
