The island of Capri is connected to Naples and Sorrento by hydrofoil or by ferry, and in the summer months you can also get there from Ischia and Positano. From the port, it takes just a few minutes to get to Piazza Umberto I by taxi or cable railway, and the hotel is only a 3 minute walk from there. |

You can reach Capri by ferry or hydrofoil from either Naples or Sorrento. Transportation from Naples is available either at the port of Mergellina or Molo Beverello; however, it is much more convenient to depart from Molo Beverello because of the greater frequency of departures and larger selection of ferries and hydrofoils.
From Naples, the ferry takes about 80 minutes, while the hydrofoil takes about 40 minutes.
From Sorrento, the ferry takes about 40 minutes, while the hydrofoil takes about 20 minutes.
Once you get to the port, take the funicular to the little "Piazzetta"(square) and you have arrived at Capri. There will also be a small fee for each sizeable baggage item brought on board. The baggage fee is paid at the time of ticket purchase, and you will be given a special ticket for each bag. |
