How To Reach Us

AIR
The International Airport "Cristoforo Colombo" is on the West side of Genova. From here you take the autostrada A10, then join the A12 (direction Livorno). Exit at Rapallo the follow directions for Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino.

SHIP
The Port of Genova is one of the most important mediterranean ports of call for large passenger vessels. One has immediate access to the autostrada (entrance Genova Ovest), or the rail station (Genova Porta Principe) which has regular services to Santa Margherita Ligure. In certain periods of the year,
there is also a ferry boat service directly to Santa Margherita Ligure, passing the impressive headland of "Monte di Portofino".

CAR
Traveling in the autostrada A12, the exit is Rapallo, only 3 km. from Santa Margherita Ligure. However, if you have more time available, it is possible to leave the autostrada, either at Recco (West) or Chiavari (East). This presents a short journey on the costal route (the ancient Roman road - Via Aurelia) taking you along unforgettable narrow stretches of road overlooking the sea and through typical Ligurian woodland country.

TRAIN
The most convenient station is undoubtedly Santa Margherita Ligure-Portofino. However, certain long distance trains do not stop at this station. In this case it is advisable to leave the train either at Rapallo or Chiavari. For informations on rail service, please visit the TrenItalia site.
