From Malpensa Airport - Torino - Varese - Como - Venice
Take the motorway exit named Milano Certosa. Follow signs for Viale Certosa and drive on until you reach Piazza Firenze. From there take Via Cenisio and go straight on until you reach the Cimitero Monumentale (Monumental Cemetery). Circle the cemetery in the direction of Porta Garibaldi rail station and take the road which runs alongside, Viale Luigi Sturzo. Carry straight on until Piazza Einaudi and at the lights turn right into Via Melchiorre Gioia. You will find Grand Hotel Verdi just a short way up on your left.
From Pavia - Genoa
Coming from the A7 (Genova/Pavia) carry on straight until the end of the motorway. Once in Via del Mare go ahead until Piazza Maggi. Crossing this square and driving straight on (in Via La Spezia) you will come into Piazza Belfanti. Here you have to turn right into Viale Liguria and Viale Tibaldi. Always keeping straight you come into Viale Toscana, then Piazza Trento, Piazzale Lodi and from there into Viale Umbria where after a bit you will see the railway station of Porta Vittoria on your right. Drive past the station and at Piazza Emilia take a left into Corso XXII Marzo proceeding until Piazza 5 Giornate. At this point you should turn right into Viale Bianca Maria and continue until you reach Piazza Oberdan. Crossing the square and entering Viale Vittorio Veneto drive on to, and go through, Piazza della Repubblica. At the next square you meet, Piazzale Principessa Clotilde, take the road named Bastioni di Porta Nuova and after a few metres turn right into Via Melchiorre Gioia. Grand Hotel Verdi is immediately there on your right.
From Linate Airport - Parma - Bologna
Take the East ring road, direction Linate. Turn off at Milano-Viale Forlanini. Make towards the city centre on Viale Corsica and Corso XXII Marzo. When you reach Piazza 5 Giornate turn right into Viale Bianca Maria and drive on until reaching Piazza Oberdan. Cross this square towards the left taking Viale Vittorio Veneto and drive right on and through Piazza della Repubblica. At the next Piazza (Piazzale Principessa Clotilde), you need to get onto Bastioni di Porta Nuova and from there, after just a few metres, you turn right into Via Melchiorre Gioia. Grand Hotel Verdi is on the corner, immediately on your right. |
