We were collected at the airport promptly as agreed, and driven directly to the hotel. The transfer was fast, the car was air-conditioned and the driver knowledgable. Our check-in went very smoothly, and our bags were quickly transferred to our room. Excellent service.

The Grand Hotel Timeo was beautiful. The views were fantastic, our room with its terrace was exactly what we wanted, and the hotel bar and pool were fantastic.

I don't think the website really shows just how beautiful the location is, but then maybe that's impossible to do. Also, I think you should stress that guests can go to the terrace and beach at their sister hotel down in the town, which was also fantastic. The only negative point I would make is about the restaurant at the hotel. They clearly want to serve haute cuisine, but the food we had there was very disappointing. I think someone needs to re-do the menu and simplify it, using local produce.

Receptionists were very polite, I asked them
to change my room because the first one was
directly above the swimming pool full of
kids and they were very helpful changed it
with another one with fantastic view.

We rang the bell in the parking area below
the hotel, and very promptly two men with a
motorized cart appeared and whisked us and
baggage up to the hotel. We checked in
quickly and were immediately taken with our
bags to our rooms.

of the view, nor to the many handsome
architectural details of the building nor
all the beautiful objects it contains. Old
world perfection and new world comfort.

A beautiful hotel with stunning views and friendly and helpful staff - it would have been hard to find if we were making our own way there but we booked a transfer which was well worthwhile because the hotel is not easy to find.

We had difficulty finding the hotel. It would be helpful if instructions regarding how to find the hotel's carpark was included in the directions.

The harman was to be included, however it was confusing to know how this treatment was to be arranged. It would be more helpful if there was a detailed book of treatments and facilities available in the bedrooms.

Perfect place for a winter escape from the UK. Thoroughly enjoyable, although it was a shame the swimming pool was not available.

Very pleased that my room was ready as early as 10:30 AM when we arrived.

Room was rather dark and older looking than I expected. Could have used more closet/drawer space. Would have liked more english speaking channels on TV.
Also,I realize that the Timeo is an expensive hotel, but the equivalent of almost $8 for a can of coke (in the mini-fridge) and $100. to launder some womens underwear makes me feel like I'm really being taken for a ride. Also, 15 Euro for a bad tasting, very small Pina colada (with very little alcohol) at poolside was very annoying. It's as if the hotel believes the people staying their have money to throw away, and don't mind doing it.

Beautiful grounds and public areas; spectacular views. For the price, our room and the furnishings in it should have been more upscale. Overall, I felt I overpaid due to quality of the room. We've stayed at 5 star hotels before, and the rooms usually take your breath away, especially for the price we were paying. That was not the case here, although the room was spacious.
