wonderful hotel, my freinds are going soon for a long weekend.
it was more than we expected, we booked for our 40th wedding anniversary and the stay was most enjoyable

We where given a room to shower & change our clothes for our journey home as we had an evening flight, which was very welcome.

We arrived later than we expected but we were greeted very warmly and although the restaraunts were closed they still did us some toasted sandwiches which was very helpful as we have three small children.

we didn't realize the hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the train station. down hill and thru the park. we took the cab at E12.00 to the hotel but walked back to the
station on our departure.

the location of the property is fantastic.
away from the main street and town piazza
but only a few minutes walk to anything in Sorrento. The buses took us to the areas
that required strenuous walking uphill.
we loved everything about sorrento and the
grand royal hotel.

very lovely property. large room overlooking the park with a very nice balcony.
the furnishing were excellent. there was
more than enough room for hangup clothes
and copius drawer space.
the bathroom was spacious and everything needed was provided.
beautiful lobby and sitting areas.

Very nice. Would stay again. Directions were not very clear getting to the Hotel. We never found the traffic light mentioned.

The Grand Hotel Royal was lovely and everything we expected. The rooms were large and comfortable, the balconies very nice with a beautiful view of the ocean, pool, and garden. The location was excellent for walking. The small motored train around town with ear plugs and info about Sorrento was charming. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing views from our hotel room, the swimming pool and bar terrace were gorgeous, the bar and evening restaurant are worth a visit, the gala dinner was great. All the staff are very professional and polite but also welcoming & understated so you feel comfortable.

my voucher clearly stated 2 adults plus 1 child, 11 years old. the hotel was not aware there would be three persons, and so had to set up an extra bed in the room. they were very polite about it.

the breakfast was the best of all of the hotels we used on this two week vacation. the omelette chef was wonderful and very friendly with our son. we appreciated the more elaborate buffet and the friendliness of the staff.

I was disapointed that there was a charge for the use of the safe in the bedroom and for the sunbeds at the swimming pool.

We had requested sea facing rooms - 2 rooms for 4 adults. A surly member of staff whose name I did not get said that our request was for a standard room and that standard rooms overlooked the parking. We did get a room overlooking the pool as the hotel was not full.Apart from the surly cerk the hotel was wonderful, meals beautifully presented and the staff courteous. We would stay there again.
