I needed an iron, there was not one in the room and they didn't have one that I could borrow!!!
I felt that tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been a huge bonus. The pool wasn't just cold - it was freezing! ... Beautiful room, immacuate and clean - gobsmacking views. Ten minute walk into town but seems like twenty on the way back.
Had one dinner in the hotel but preferred to eat out.

The a couple of down sides we found is that for the cost of the hotel they felt the need to charge 5 Euro's for a sun bed per day everyone complained about this. The mini bar prices where far to high. The restaurant prices where not good value for money based on the quality of food and what was available in restaurants that surrounded the hotel ... A high quality hotel, very clean and well laid out. The rooms are lovely with great views across the bay. The staff are very helpful even down to the room service people. The lay out of the pool in nice and there are some quiet area's that give a feel of privacey. I would recommend the hotel and Surrento. A very clean part of Italy

Pool area is very poor and could do with a serious tidy-up - overgrown plants/weeds and if they are going to charge for sun-beds then they should be clean and relatively new, not old and saggy! ... OK, but far from amazing.

very smooth & very helpful. ... We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Capodimonte and would highly recommend it to other people. ... Very grand surroundings, very pleasant staff, an interestingly laid out hotel with lots of little nooks & crannies to explore! Breakfast was a very pleasant experience with fabulous views over the bay. Would love to visit again for another very relaxing holiday. This was our honeymoon so we will have lots of fond memories.

Great hotel, at an excellent price. ... We would return to this hotel--one of the very best in Sorrento. ... 'About 12 minutes walk to the main shopping area of Sorrento.' ... Lovely hotel, good value, about 12 minutes walk to the main shopping area.

We arrived by taxi arranged by the hotel. As our flight was delayed on embarkation at Naples the taxi firm did not know which terminal we would arrive at .They therefore arrnged for drivers to be available at both. Most impressive. ... I was very surprised to pay for sun loungers on a daily basis. On one day the sun was out for probably an hour and in that time a member of staff was despatched around the grounds to ensure that we had signed for the loungers -very irritating and not something we have come across for many years.
The service and information available from the hotel was first class. ... Paying for the sun loungers ... Hotel is set in a superb position overlooking the bay of Sorrento. It is very close to the town centre and a very good starting point for touring the area. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. If returning to Sorrento in the future then we would look no further for our accommodation.

Transfer from Airport arranged via Hotel and it was there waiting for us. ... Excellent location (5 minutes walk to Sorrento), stunning views from room which was only a standard, hotel beautifully furbished. Only critisism was no tea/coffee making facilities in room. ... staff polite and efficient but we weren't asked if everything was alright or thanked for our custom. ... No tea/ coffee making facilties in our room (double standard) ... Overall very good and would recommend it.

The cascading swimming pools were switched off. We had to complain about the room temperature. Hotel details say 'air conditioning' available. The hotel selects whether this heating or cooling. Only cooling is available from June until end August. We had to open the patio door to get the room cool at night and then suffered all the noise from the town, motor bikes buzzing past all night and rubbish collection trucks outside our window at 3am. We paid extra for a sea view and did not expect this. ... Alot of road noise at night time for the low level sea facing rooms. Air conditioning system is centralised and inflexible. You cannot necessarily select the right room comfort level for you - if you want cooling in the spring or autumn its not possible. ... Nice hotel but expensive to get rooms away from the noise if you want a sea view. Check out the air conditioning type that is available when you plan to stay.

DEck chairs are €5 a day each! Key for lock in room is also charged. ... Beautiful views, hidden charges and a few of the room shave no view at all.
