Being the first hotel in L`Aquila, Grand Hotel e del Parco enjoys a convenient location only 2 minutes on foot from the town`s main square. Here you will see St Massimo Cathedral and the open market held every day at midday, while at a distance of 300 metres the most famous abbey in Abruzzo awaits you: it's the Santa Maria di Collemaggio, built by Pietro Morrone. Another important temple is St Bernardino Basilica, constructed in 1454: after an earthquake destroyed it in the beginning of the 18th century, it was rebuilt in baroque style.
