 Each of the properties at Gole Alcantara has its own swimming pool and two of them, a restaurant, therefore they work pretty independently, as if they were three separate lodgings. What really identifies all of them is the surroundings: you will be staying within a totally natural environment. As farming activities are still held at the property, you may even get to know the everyday labours. Excursions and entertaining programs are also available. |
 Two of the houses has its own restaurant - serving the specialties of Sicilian cuisine - and swimming pool. At Il Borgo you will find a parking lot, a solarium and a wide terrace too. Casa delle Monache has the reception and the restaurant at Casa Rosa, placed 150 metres away from Casa Gialla. Finally, Il Poggio offers a bed & breakfast service only, apart from parking facilities, a solarium and a relax room. |
| Taormina is only 30 kilometres away from the inn, placed on a hill. The main attraction is without any doubt the Greek theatre, which is thought to have been constructed in the Roman era. You should also check the Isola Bella, a natural reserve, and Mount Etna, the famous landmark of Sicily. Gole Alcantara comes from the arab "Al Quantarah", which means "Ponte ad arco". Here you can practise all sorts of sports _ canoeing, tennis, trekking, and the unique trekking by the river-. Other outdoor attractions close to the park are Nebrodi park and Alcantara fluvial park. |
