Time Bar:
Free time at the new Golden Palace flows by in the intimate Time Bar, with its smoked glass windows behind which digital clocks in various formats count the seconds of the most important records. Hours and minutes are also the theme of the area behind the bar for displaying bottles, constituted by an enormous golden clock ring with prominent notches corresponding to five-minute intervals in back-lit transparent Plexiglas. The bar is done in valuable Brown Antique marble and has a wooden front carved with geometric patterns surmounted by ebony.Aubergine tones were chosen for the large wall sofa, done in mohair velvet with a circle print, contrasting with the turtle-dove grey hues of round and square armchairs with a floral print velvet. A warm and essential play of colours underscored by the chocolate-coloured rosewood of the panelling.

Winner Restaurant:
The realm of gourmets at the Golden Palace draws its inspiration from gold medals and Olympic laurels. A tasteful dining room is hidden behind a railing with golden reflections, enveloped in the blond gleam of the pear wood of the large central buffet and the tables. Reflections that are warmed by the natural light radiating from the large bow window looking onto the inner courtyard, to which access is gained down two symmetrical flights of stairs. When the weather is good, a relaxing, enjoyable garden makes it possible to have breakfast and lunch outdoors in the very heart of the city, but in a secluded, out-of-the-way area. Minute, elegant floral motifs are repeated in the black and silver fabrics of the hangings and in the comfortable chairs with broad leaf-like backs. The laurels of victory, also echoed in the gilt iron wall lamps.

Congress Centre:
The basement is set aside for working meetings and conferences. Here the Olympic theme is recalled by the circular gilt mirrors present in the main room. The rooms of the Congress Centre are decorated in homage to the three metals that honour those who gain the victors' podium: gold, silver and bronze. For quality meetings and events.

In addition, it only takes a walk through the city to discover contemporary works by artists of international fame. Relive the atmosphere of the past and the splendour of Turin as the capital in the wonderful Royal Residences, the rich homes of the Savoy dynasty, declared "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO in 1997. Both outside and in the city, you can admire sumptuous buildings and furnishings. First of all, there are those that overlook piazza Castello: the majestic Royal Palace, designed by Castellamonte, is still considered to be one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe. Palazzo Madama, instead, sums up the many periods of Turin: built on the base of a Roman gate, the main body is Medieval and the façade is Baroque, with the entrance hall and monumental staircase designed by the great architect Filippo Juvarra. The areas around Turin offer a galaxy of castles and residences to admire. It is the "crown of delights" built for the House of Savoy, of great historic interest and insuperable artistic importance: from the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale to Rivoli and Moncalieri Castles, from Stupinigi Hunting Lodge to Agliè Castle.
-The Mole Antonelliana:
The Mole Antonelliana is the tallest brickwork construction in Europe. It was initially intended as a temple for the Israelite community in the city, and on a smaller scale. During its construction, Antonelli heightened it to 167.5 metres, thus depleting the funds that were available! The construction was therefore suspended and the work was finished a century later.
-The Medieval Village and the Royal Library:
It is incredible, but the Medieval Village is a historic fake. It was realized for the 1884 Italian General Exposition, inspired by various constructions really existing in Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta and_ mixed together! We all know the celebrated sanguine self-portrait by Leonardo da Vinci painted at the beginning of the 16th century: this extremely famous work is kept in the Royal Library of Turin.
-The XX Winter Olympic Games:
The numbers of the XX Winter Olympics are impressive: 4 competition sites in Turin alone, 2,500 athletes from 85 countries, 3 Olympic villages, 650 judges, 7 media villages for 10,000 journalists with an audience of over 2.5 billion people in the world.
-Tastes of the past... temptations of today:
Among the unforgettable things of Turin, there is the bicerin, a tempting drink made from coffee, chocolate and cream, which originated in the nineteenth century. Known as a "traditional Piedmontese drink" as published in the Official Bulletin of the Piedmont Region, the bicerin won over many famous people: from Cavour to Dumas, from Puccini to Nietzsche. Gianduiotti were invented thanks to_ Napoleon! Because of the continental blockade that stopped supplies, confectioners of Turin had to do their best and mix the scarce cocoa with a local product: the delicious and delicate round hazelnuts of Piedmont. The result, however, was so good that gianduia chocolate became a speciality. Bread sticks were invented to help the young Vittorio Amedeo II, who was very sickly. It seems that it was good for the future sovereign to eat this light digestible bread, a local speciality since then in its characteristic elongated shape.
- The Botanical Gardens:
The Botanical Gardens of Turin, in the Valentino Park, are an integral part of the Department of Plant Biology of the University and preserve collections of great scientific value. Created in the sixteenth century, the Botanical Gardens reached their moment of maximum size in the 1800s, when they had as many as 12,000 cultivated species.
- Faith and mystery:
The Sanctuary of the Consolata is extremely dear to the people of Turin, who for hundreds of years have thanked the Virgin Mary for grace and miracles: a picturesque ex voto gallery makes it possible to take in proof of faith and everyday life through the centuries in one stroke. More than a million people came to Turin in 2000 for the Ostension of the Shroud, the longest in recent history, with all of 72 days for the veneration of the most important relic of Christianity.
