The hotel lobby was very warm and inviting, and easy to find. The staff took pity on our feeble attempt to seeak Italian, and kindly spoke very good English. ... The rooms were large compaired to other hotels we had been staying in. We found the rooms to be very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast room is next to a lovely green area, and the buffet was very good. The hotel is located close to Pompeii and to nice shops and restaurants. The train staion is an easy walk. ... The hotel is a very good value for the money. We paid less for accommodations here, compaired to other Italian towns, and actually got more! ... This is a charming hotel that offers very clean, cute accomoodations along with a very good breakfast. You cannot beat the location, so close to the ruins of Pompeii. There are good restaurants nearby and it is an easy walk fromt he train station to the hotel. The staff is very nice and helpful.

This was the best hotel I stayed in during a 2 week holiday in Italy. It is excellent value for money, elegant, very clean. It is 200 yards from the rear entrance to Pompei and the bus to the volcano. The staff were very helpful with my next hotel booking in Milan. I would recommend this hotel to people, and I would stay there again.

The Hotel Forum was a lovely hotel and I have recommended it to my friends should they wish to visit Pompeii. ... Clean, friendly and very much value for money.

Came by train and did not realize that 3 different stations/train options were available, so we had longer walk to hotel. Called hotel as we were walking and then we were helpfully met out on the street. Very nice welcome. ... Quite happy with everything. Excellent suggestions and assistance with things to consider doing. ... yes

All staff v friendly, great location, above average accommodation. The bext place to be in Pompeii! ... €170 per night is a lot for Italy but for convenience for the ruins and access to the station for a night out in Sorrento it couldn't be faulted.

There was a car parked across the driveway into the hotel. Fortunately there was a policeman right there who knew whose car it was and got them to move it otherwise I don't know how we would have got into the hotel to unload the car as there was no parking nearby. ... The breakfast room adjoining the garden was really lovely and the breakfast was excellent - well above average.
We appreciated the 2 computers in the foyer where we could check our emails at no charge! ... The website gives the inpression that the hotel fronts onto the street but it is actually behind a row of shops which makes it slightly difficult to find if arriving by car and difficult to load/unload luggage. ... Very comfortable and clean room, close to the ruins of Pompei. Standard of accommodation and breakfast well above average for the price. Excellent value for money.

If it had not been for the street signage stating the general direction of the hotels we would have been completely lost. ... Warmly recommended

Ideal for a one night stopover. Good secure parking. Immediate access to Old Pompei. Close to a wide choice of restaurants and the main square. Staff spoke English and were happy to discuss and give advice.

This was the most expensive place I stayed at on my trip but the only one where no-one offered any sort of help with my bags, which as woman travelling with a child I would have appreciated. Also the car parking is actually a public car park on the other side of the road (not directly opposite) which either meant a long walk from the car to the hotel with bags or trying to unload on a busy street with restricted parking. This is what I had to do. As there were at least two members of staff at the reception desk, help would have been much appreciated. ... Staff were pleasant but again no question of finding out whether we needed help with bags which considering the car could not be parked directly outside the hotel was difficult. My son had to be left standing alone on the pavement with bags while I fetched it. ... The website does seem to indicate that the hotel has a carpark which is untrue. It should be made clear that parking is available at a local car park and the distance involved. ... Very comfortable, attractive. Reasonable value for money. Not overly friendly compared to the other places I stayed in Italy. Might go again.

Room was very comfortable and staff very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Location very good for quieter entrance to Pompei excavations. It was not made clear that parking was public supervised parking across the road from the hotel. It did not prove a problem. The only downside was early morning building work from 07.30.

attention to detail was good...nice little touches like a fruit bowl in reception sweets, and one day limoncello !! breakfast in the garden was a pleasure, with a good choice ! a fridge in the room too...the location was good...though we walked to the hotel from the train station with all our luggage, which was a long way... there didn't seem to be any taxis available. All in all a very enjoyable stay...will be back.

Surprisingly modern and beautifully appointed with furniture and decor. Our view was lovely and it was obvious great care had been taken to provide many thoughtful amenities, such as help cords (security). Though extremely energy-efficient (use of lights timed to use of card key), there was a bit of inconvenience with only one card key available, per room, for double occupancy rooms. The hotel is ideally situated for a visit to the ruins and access to excellent restaurants.

This was probably the best hotel we stayed in during our 5 week travel in Europe. Wonderful room with air con and fabulous breakfast. Staff were great. ... Considering that Europe is highly over-priced. This hotel at least offered clean, and modern rooms for the price. The air con was worth it alone! ... It was after midnight when we arrived, but the person on call was friendly and professional. We were so glad to see him! Grazie! ... Fantastic breakfasts! Beautiful rooms. Free internet use. Great location. Great staff. Fantastic breakfasts! ... Use a credit card or cash, but not Euro traveler's checks due to a very hefty service charge, which I hear is very common. I had intended to use Euro traveler's checks but used a credit card instead. ... Very nice and homey with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well- appointed. Great price. Breakfasts are fantastic! Great location within walking distance to ruins and to local restaurants.

Your directions for the exit to Pompeii could have been better if the entire name of the exit sign had been included in those directions. Once in Pompeii we had to call the hotel for directions as there were no signs giving direction. ... This was a lovely property and the staff was very helpful. It is in a convenient location and although our room faced the street we had no disturbances from noise. There was a lovely patio/garden area. The breakfast room was very comfortable with a large buffet selection. It included meats, cheeses, eggs and the usual continental fair with fruit, sweets, cereals, yogurt, etc. and a choice of coffee including 'American' coffee.
We would recommend this hotel and most likely stay there again.

The directions to the hotel could be much more clear. It is very important to state exactly how to reach the hotel from Naples (the main city that most people will travel through). The directions should state that travellers should take the Circumvesuvia Line in the direction of 'Pozzomarino' and get off at the 'Pompeii' station rather than taking the train to Sorrento and exiting the 'Pompeii Scavi' station. Once you have reached the correct station, then directions should be provided from that train station. ... It would have been even nicer had the air conditioning worked in the room. We were lucky that the ceiling fan worked so the room was not too hot. The breakfast served was excellent- fresh crossaints, delicious coffee and cold fruit juices. ... Better Map that shows both Circumvesuviana stations as well as the hotel. Better directions on how to get to the hotel from the circumvesuviana stations- especially if walking to the hotel. ... Hotel Forum is a cute little hotel with a lot of charm. The rooms are a good size for Italy, the bathrooms are clean and functional. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best that we had at a 3-star hotel in Italy. A great place to stay for a few nights as you explore Pompeii and Herculaneum instead of staying in Naples.

Some staff were extremely sweet and helpful. The young man from Brazil was wonderful. Two others were somewhere between aloof and very unhelpful. The room was very noisy due to noise from the desk traveling up the stairs, and TVs from other rooms. It was early October, and we would have appreciated some heat, but there was none. ... It wasn't terrible, but we didn't have a balcony as stated in the website, and were disappointed by the staff, noise, and cold as stated above. Otherwise, the room was OK. ... Noisy! No heat in early October! ... Very clean, pleasant room. Appreciated the English language TV (CNN). Breakfast was excellent, as was the breakfast patio. Great location to visit the excavation and to walk around in the evening. Noisy and cold.

Receptionist had very helpful recommendations for restaurants. ... They offered free internet access which was very helpful to us. They also offered free Limoncella, a delicious regional liqueur, but we really wished that they had put ice in the ice bucket it was kept in, as it's supposed to be drunk cold. ... A basically good hotel very close to the Pompei Excavation site. Good breakfast.

Very Helpful reception staff. Only issue was that parking is across the road in an independant car park that the hotel uses. This made initial arrival slightly awkward as you have to park somewhere first before you can find this out. ... Very comfortable small hotel which is excellent value and brilliant for visiting Pompei. I stay in this hotel again for any future visits to Pompei

I was a bit confused that there are two circumviana trainstations in Pompeii. Had I realised that, I would have chosen a train arriving at the santuaria station, rather than the villa misteri. I suspect that it would be helpfull to future guests to have that pointed out. ... The breakfast room and the attached garden are really delightfull. Free internet access was much appreciated, as well as the permanent availability of fresh fruit. I enjoyed my stay, and hotel Forum was a very good balance between the service I like to have, and the price I am comfortable paying. I would recommend the hotel.
