 It was the favourite dwelling of an Empress, an English Queen and minor aristocracy until 1873, when it became a luxury hotel. While the villa was completely renovated, its old world charm remained intact. A magnificent park surrounds Villa d'Este with flowers, terrace, fountains and gardens, overlooking the blue-green water of Lake Como. |
