Beautiful situation, great food but room rather more basic than anticipated, it had no window!

Fantastic views, great pool, lovely food, very peaceful (apart from v noisy children at dinner)but rather basic room.

The sign to the enterance of the property fell down, so we stoped next to the place and have to ask someone where is it?

It enabled us to find a beautiful place in the Italian countryside that we probably would not have found on our own.

that it is run by a husband and wife who are very friendly and welcoming. They cook all of the food in the restuarant and it was excellent!

The staff was great and though our Italian language skills were lacking we were able to communicate effectively and had a wonderful time.

Since this is a working farm we inquired about wine production and found that during our stay in fact there was some wine production activity and enjoyed seeing first hand how wire was made......

Peaceful and secluded from the business of Italy but close enough to get the Orvieto experience whenever we desired.

The property (houses and grounds) looked more luxurious on the website. The rooms were clean and quiet but especially the kitchen/living room area in both apartments (rented by Val Sloan and Ulli Huber) lacked the cosiness that was implied by the pictures on the website. The kitchen area wasn't really a living room (no cosy chairs or sofa) but felt more like a hall way that one didn't feel like sitting in. This could easily be improved by adding some decorations throughout the apartments and a cosy sitting area in the kitchen.
In terms of services: The website mentions horse riding, mountain biking, cooking classes, which weren't available outside the summer season. This should be mentioned on the website, as these activities were one of the reasons why we chose this property.
The food was great and the people were very friendly!! It should however be mentioned on the website that outside the main season dinner is only available on Saturday night.

While the host was very pleasant and
helpful, we stood out in the pouring rain
for a long time before he knew we were
there. I had told him we'd be arriving in
the afternoon, but I literally had to find
an open door and call him from his own
phone!

I would recommend you make it clear to
guests that they MUST rent a car in this
area (we did not, but later did...SO far
away from Orvieto), and that the restaurant
is closed. We were the only guests, and in
retrospect, I would never have stayed in an
agiturisimo on off-season: the rooms are
cold, they are far away, and just all-around
not very pleasant. They are definitely NOT
for winter season!
