Restaurant: Local cooking is inspired by the unique local products, such as: cherry tomatoes "a piennolo", i.e. tomatoes grown in the mountains tied together to dry, olive oil, potatoes, the delicious "sfusato amalitano" lemons, local wines (white, red and rosé), recently approved by the DOC (denomination of origin) certification; natural herbs, whose intense scent makes them the ideal seasonig to make each dish a unique preparation. No doubt those who arrive here at Furore cannot resist the flavours of our local cooking, where the scents of the earth and the sea are mixed together to create simple but delicious preparations. We suggest: tattler and potatoes, the "migliaccio" (bran-made Carnival cake), the "minestra maritata" (a rich soup), the "caponata" (dried rye bread and tomatoes), cured meats and cheese from the nearby mountain village of Agerola, made with local milk.

The hiking trails: Furore, a small village on the Costa d'Amalfi, clinging on the side of the mountains that descend down to the sea, is the right choice for those travellers who appreciate a genuine authentic life far away from the hectic everyday life, looking for an unusual and stimulating holiday. A kind of heaven still unknown to the mass tourism, with its hidden lanes, the many trails..a place for those who want to be surprised by nature and wish to leave, at least for a while, the traffic jam and the rush for a parking.
But if you want to leave laziness at home, wear your comfortable shoes and go for a walk along our beautiful trails; you will follow the ancient paths used by the inhabitants who wanted to reach the surrounding villages, where nature is still unspoiled. You can choose among the following trails:

· "Abu Tabela"
· "Volpe pescatrice"
· "Nidi di corvo"
· "Pipistrelli impazziti"
· "Sentiero dell'Amore"
· "Santa Barbara"

Not to forget: for those who wish a more exciting experience Furore also offers a Climbing area.

Architecture: The most interesting architectural works of Furore are the traditional houses located in the Fiordo and the many local churches.
-"Muri d'autore" ("Painted walls")
The walls of Furore are painted with artistic works that can cause intense emotions in those who admire them. These paintings show some historical representations of local traditions, myths and rituals. "Muri d'Autore" started in the 1980s with a few paintings and some sketches on the walls of the village: since then many more paintings have come, so that now Furore is known as the "painted village". Such artistic works were initially created by famous Neapolitan artists and little by little also by Italian, German and Polish artists who have made the village more interesting and rich, a kind of small open-air museum.
- The "Fiordo" (the Fiord)
The Fiordo is a deep inlet in the mountain that separates Conca dei Marini and Praiano. From the bridge on the road Amalfi-Positano a long stair on the rocky side of the mountain goes down to the bottom of the valley. The Fiordo can be reached also by sea, passing under the same beautiful bridge of the Amalfi-Positano road. The Fiordo is a really live museum modelled by history: the valley is covered with a rich self-vegetation where are to be found ancient "cartiere" (paper factories), mills, channels and prehistoric grottoes. Also in its inland the Fiordo saves more surprises, such as: the old factories used for paper and crop manufacturing; XVIIIth century mills and factories where water was used as a source of energy; least but not last some precious species of fern tracing back to the Tertiary period. For these reasons in the Fiordo a so-called "eco-museum" has been founded.

The sea and the beaches: There are some beachs in Amalfi's coast about seven kilometres away from the B&B L'eco dell'800. These beaches are well equipped with all types of facilities including comfortable sun beds. Amalfi is one of the most beautiful in towns in Italy. It is an ideal place to have moments of relaxation and enjoy beautiful panoramas.

Nearby our B&B there is the possibility to be treated and pampered physically and spiritually. There is a Spa and a beauty farm where the wide variety of treatments is performed by professionals, from hydrotherapy to the aesthetics, massages with four hands to the bio-energy.

Restaurants: There are some good restaurant nearby. No doubt those who arrive here at Furore cannot resist the flavours of our local cooking, where the scents of the earth and the sea are mixed together to create simple but delicious preparations.
