So helpful and friendly. Delightful Italian lady showed us to our roon and gave us coffee. ... Fantastic B&B. We actually preferred it to the 5 star hotels we stayed in in Italy. Rooms were delightful as was the entire premises. We will be returning. Hosts were also extremely friendly and helpful. Many thanks. ... Excellent, staff let us leave our luggage during the day at no extra cost as we had a v. late flight out of Naples in the evening. ... The living room and commom areas were not shown on the website and were absolutely beautiful. ... Wonderful, full of character , relaxing and absolutely beautiful.

The comments about the road construction should have included more detail. Our taxi driver approached the street from 2 directions & finally phoned the B& B. I would suggest that you say to come down Via Duomo & approach the street from there & that the B& B is on the right side of the street when coming from that direction. ... My husband & I enjoyed our stay. Dominic our host was very kind & helpful. The breakfast was outstanding & the rooms were quite beautiful & clean. We were treated like guests in someone's home. I would highly recommend this accomodation to those who would appreciate a unique creative environment & thoughtful hosts. ... A beautiful private home - a peaceful hideaway from the lively & noisy streets of Naples. The artwork & furnishings were a pleasant surprise. Very warm & friendly host.

We were met by the housekeeper with whom we managed to communicate, though I do not think she spoke English and we speak little Italian. She offered us caffe and biscotti. We enjoyed the refreshment in a sun-filled room that had once been the chapel of the Mother Superior at the convent. The family has restored the small alter and it is delicately repainted. ... The room was beautifully decorated with lovely antiques and the owners' paintings. The bed was comfortable and the linens fine. The bathroom needs updating. It is necessary to keep the fan on constantly to eliminate the smell of sewer gas. I know the building is very old, so excused this unpleasantness. ... We had to leave at 4:30 a.m. to reach the airport two hours before our flight. We let ourselves out quietly, having settled the bill the day before. Domenic arranged for a taxi to pick us up in front of Cafe Tico at the corner of the nearest street open to cars. The driver was waiting for us and did not overcharge us. ... The street in front of the B&B is completely torn up. Looks like new sewers are being put in. ... The entrance to the building is run down and it takes a bit of trust to continue. But the reward is an amazing oasis of culture and charm! The pictures on the Italy.by Web site show the beauty of the home in which you are a guest. The owners are warm and generous. I recommend that you request the Neopolitan dinner for one of your nights. Anna, Domenic's mother, is an excellent cook. Sitting around the big table with the family and their friends, we felt privileged to share food and conversation (English with Domenic; a little Italian with the others).

The only thing that could help upon arrival would be to be picked up from the train station as the taxi drivers where not clear about how to get into the building during the construction period. One of the builders told us that there was nothing in the building, but he didnt realise there was a building next to the gutted work site. Having said this, our time at the Donna Regina was magnificent and Domenic was a lovely host. Our stay in Napoli was one of the most memorable parts of our holiday in italy and we will definately return some day. ... If you would like to see the real Napoli, then definately I would recommend staying in Napoli, Napoli. And what better place then the Donna Regina. It was like staying with Family, everyone was friendly and our host Domenic was always happy to give tips on the best places to visit and eat. Not to mention the history and the art that surrounds you at the Donna Regina B&B. We loved it.

I'm not sure that there were any directions but finding Donna Regina was easy enough.
Question 3 is also a bit silly, you don't tend to get a 'receptionist' at a B&B. ... Again the questions don't really make sense for a B&B. I don't expect 'staff' at a B&B, I expect the host to be the owner as well. ... Lots of pictures about the place. ... It would depend on the friend!

Breakfast is very comprehensive and tasteful Domenique is a very friendly and helpful person and it is very pleasant to stay there ... The appeaarance of the neighborhood, entrance to the building, and stairway to Donna Regina is Appalling with a capital 'A' - but don't be put off. Once inside you soon forget about the apprehension as you approached

A very nice breakfast! ... Beautiful authentic bed & breakfast, with nice spacious rooms, a nice owner, who tells you all there is to know about Naples, and welcomes you with a great glass of Limoncello! What more do you want??!

A beautiful room (the nicest of our 2 week trip around Italy) with a comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast each morning.
We had the tinest shower we've ever seen. I'm 5 feet tall and my husband is 6'4' and neither one of us fit in the stall and move our limbs.
Otherwise, it's a terrific place to stay and we would stay there again.

Driving in Naples is unbearably difficult and arriving via the printed directions in the dark was equally difficult. It took us over an hour and a half to make it from the airport to the Donna Regina. The staff however told us later that they would've come to the airport to lead us. That would have been helpful from the start as the streets are hard to navigate and the building that houses the B&B is under construction and the addresses are unclear. ... We had the pleasure of staying in two different rooms. The first had a broken shower head which made showering a little bit challenging. However, the service and food was impecable and we would recommend it to others. ... Dominic was friendly and helpful and provided us with restaurant and sightseeing suggestions. ... Ecclectic, comfortable, and artistic with exceptional breakfasts!

We had a beautiful dinner prepared for us by Domenico. The quality was excellent, but the price (€40) was a bit on the high side. ... One of our rooms had a bathroom that was situated on a higher level than the room. The stairs leading to it were very narrow and steep. The shower was far too small for a man of 190cm. The bed needed some repair. In the other room the bathroom was very spacious, but the shower needed renewal. ... When we saw the entrance, the staircase and the lift, we thought we had landed in a dump, but when the door of Donna Regina opened, we were in a museum. Very impressive.

The entry way is quite concerning, dark and not very clean. We were a bit concerned for out safety. Once we got upstairs we had very nice accomadations and the reception and help we got was very good. One word of concern out bathroom was in a loft above our beds with a very small, steep spiral stair leading to it. If we had been larger or older people it would not have been manageable. I would let the perspective guests know of the stairs. Sincerely Carol O'Neil ... Breakfasts were wonderful in the beautiful kitchen with a very nice group of French guests. ... See above about the spiral stairs

Unfortunately, there was no-one to meet us because we arrived slightly earlier than planned. However, I think the owner was slightly late to arrive based on our original arrival time. Luckily other guests were able to let us in. ... It is a beautiful property and I would definitely recommend it.

Directions do not say which way to walk from Cavour metro stop (you guess). Also, Via Duomo is poorly marked where it meets Piazza Cavour / Via Foria. ... Half-flight of steps up from elevator to door. ... Friendly art-filled and convenient to transportation. The host was very helpful.
