| | | The Grand Hotel De Rose, is a charming 4-star hotel boasting a stunning location on hills rock, overlooking the Scaleas bay, on the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria, near the ancient hamlet. The rooms overlook over pristine beaches and crystal clear sea. The Hotel is perfectly located on seafront. 66 rooms, with reserved and refined spaces, with color TV, wireless Internet access, mini bar and air conditioning. The standard rooms overlook the Scaleas hills (windows or balconies). From the superior rooms you can admire lovely views of the Scaleas bay. All the rooms are decorated with marine style retro. In the precious pat on the sea from the roof garden you can enjoy the rooftop sun terrace and swimming pool with hydro-bike and have a good time in the Jacuzzi pool equipped with sun beds, umbrellas overhanging the sea. On the top there is an health corner equipped with techno-gym machines. Near the solarium, at the bar, is possible to have delicious snacks and cocktails to enjoy on the panoramic terrace. The private beach (pebbles beach) and a pretty lounge bar offer all the comfort and hospitality for a sun relaxing holidays. On the bay just under the Hotel, you will find lovely restaurants where you can enjoy variety of fish and typical Calabria cuisine. If you like to stay in our lounge bar, menu includes a range fast-food regular dishes along with a specials seasonal menu.In the night, if you like quiet evenings, the lounge bar in the beach, offers evening with live music and drinks on the beach. Walking along the seafront you can easily arrive to the precious Scalea historical center (800 meters) where you can discover the ancient flavors of the fishing Calabria villages. This romantic fishing village is situated on a cliff overlooking the Gulf. For nightlife along the coast there are several discos suggestive, or for those looking for quiet evenings, the beach in front of the hotel offers live music in the evening while sipping drinks on the beach. If you love trekking in the unspoiled nature, you can reach by car (2 hours by car) the Pollino National Park where you can see the Pino Loricato (loricato pine) unique in the area, or practice rafting on the river Lao. Some kilometers outside the city center you will find a small, mythic cave (20 kilometers) in Papasidero, the Grotta del Romito site, dating back to the Palaeolithic period containing one of the oldest examples of prehistoric art in Italy, and one of the most important in Europe. One hundred kilometers away for religious tourism visit the important site the Paola Sanctuary.
