Facilities within the Property

The use of technology, which has a strong but discrete presence and is never invasive, the intention being to create a new type of comfort, has been the guideline of the whole arrangement of the "Dellearti Design Hotel". With this in mind, on the intermediate floor, looking on to the double-height hall, there is a special multimedia area set up for internet connections, a choice of programmes with DVD or audio readers linked to Cremonese music concerts and musicians and performances in the area, as well as a small reading room with a little library attached.

From the hall there is a view of the continuous glass wall marked by a vertical asymmetrical module and a dense horizontal design that characterises the whole "C" development of the internal courtyard. This feature characterises and distinguishes the new hotel and find support in the great importance that the design gives to the closing wall of the courtyard. The wall serves as a "theatrical screen" displaying, as well as a particular sparse group of trees set on a bed of stones marked by the presence of large technical tubes, an outsize square screen that continuously transmits different pictures relating to artistic installations, as well as cultural and sporting occasions and significant events linked to the cultural life of the city of Cremona and to activities in the area.

Our desire to provide a high level of comfort inside the hotel is further demonstrated by the large area set aside in the basement for recreation and relaxation, where there is a well-equipped gymnasium, a sauna-solarium area, and a Jacuzzi area, together with a small beauty-centre exclusively for the use of hotel guests. In the basement there is also a small multi-use room suitable for meetings for small groups.

The
welcoming dining room is located in an exhibition area in which modern and contemporary works are displayed. The fulcrum is an artistic route that changes constantly and which runs around the whole hotel, and even into the rooms, in which works by well-known photographers are hung. The Design Bar serves appetizers and local dishes, breakfast room with specially made wengewood tables.

Why "dellearti"? When we decided to open a hotel in Cremona we had one definite idea: not just an ordinary hotel. We are living in the age of Internet and global communication, and what we wish to create is a hotel strongly characterised by exchanges of culture, ideas and emotions. Thus, while the hotel is indeed a rest point for travellers, it also has a strong mission as a place for exchanging sensations through art exhibitions, shows, meetings and much else.

A prestigious municipality in Medieval times, home of great violin makers and musicians, and birthplace of major sixteenth century painters,
Cremona offers over two thousand years of history and an undiscovered city centre. No less fascinating is its surrounding area, the green and fertile valley of the River Po. Crema, Casalmaggiore, the Rocca of Soncino, the fortified citadel of Pizzighettone, and the sanctuaries, are only a few of the attractions of the land of Stradivarius.

This is why it is important, in boosting local tourism, not to overlook the
beauty and diversity that make Cremona a varied area in which tradition, culture and gastronomy bled with such harmony. It is precisely their ability to meld different elements that makes Cremona and its area a single unit, rich in initiatives and keen to be discovered in an unhurried, discerning manner.
