From the sea:
Sea transport is covered all the year by the Siremar Ferry Company that has ferries available both for passengers and cars. There's also the Ustica Lines company, although it is only seasonal and not for car transport, but has quick connections thanks to the use of the hydroplane boat. You can take the ferry from Trapani, in Sicily.
Air transport:
The Air One airlines operates all the year, and leaves from Rome, Milano, Venice, Bari and Trapani. The Meridiana airline provides daily flights from Palermo, in Sicily.
