By plane: The nearest airport to the property is International Abruzzo Airport, in Pescara: it is placed around 80 kilometres from the Dakar Living Hotel and has connections to other cities in Italy as well as many within Europe, such as London, Frankfurt and Paris. Meanwhile, Fiumicino in Rome in 300 kms away. In case you do not rent a car, you can easily reach Vasto-San Salvo railway station by train, and then walk 500 metres up to the Dakar.
By car: As you leave the Pescara airport, take SS5 motorway and then turn left in SS16, heading towards "A14/ E25". As you approach Pescara, get on RA12 and drive in the direction Chieti at first and Bari, later on. Continue along A14/E35 for 57 kilometres and get off at exit "Casalbordino/ Vasto Nord". Follow the signs indicating "SS16/ Adriatica - Vasto - Casalbordino - Pollutri - Atessa - Cupello" before driving along SP154 and SP149. Finally, you will come to SS16, where you must stay passing Vasto and Marina di Vasto. The hotel stands on number 140, around four blocks after the intersection that leads to the railway station. (This journey will take you around 55 minutes). Bear in mind that an alternative is to get off from the A14/E35 a while later, at the exit "Vasto Sud", placed 3 kilometres from the inn.
From Rome you will have to drive around 3 hours. You must get on the A24/E80 and head towards "Chieti/ Pescara" and afterwards, "Pescara/ Francavilla/ Bari". As you approach Pescara, follow the indications already described.
By train: The railway station closest to the property is Vasto-San Salvo, placed only 500 metres from the hotel (just walk up to SS 16 as you leave the station, turn right and keep on straight till the fourth street on your right and you will see the inn). If you land at International Abruzzo airport, take a taxi or shuttle to Pescara Centrale station and then a train to Vasto-San Salvo. Otherwise, from Rome you can reach Pescara in around 4 hours and then take the same train to Vasto-San Salvo. There are three buses (numbers 1, 4 and 8) reaching the centre of Marina di Vasto in 5 minutes, and the centre of Vasto in 10 or 15 minutes. |
